Hip-Hop superstars Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Ciara, T.I., and others have come together to help promote voter awareness in an upcoming “Get Out The Vote” public service announcement set to hit Time Warner Cable next month.
According to a statement from The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), the P.S.A. explains the significance of voting and challenging viewers if their voice will be heard once the 2008 Presidential election takes place.
“Will your vote be counted” Byrd Gang’s Jim Jones asks in the P.S.A. “Vote for it.”
Currently available via the network’s website, Time Warner has confirmed airing the one-minute clips no later than August via its various channels including MTV and BET.
HSAN and the powerful online ad network CPX partnered to create the “Get Out The Vote” campaign in hopes of inspiring people to register and vote in the 2008 election.
Additional appearances in the P.S.A. include George Lucas, Flo Rida, Green Lantern, Styles P., and 106 & Park’s Rosci and Terrence J.
