LOS ANGELES — A judge on Tuesday sentenced Chris Brown to five years’ probation, six months’ community labor for the beating of Rihanna and ordered the R&B singer to stay away from his former girlfriend for the next five years.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they’re attending music industry events.
A probation report prepared for Tuesday’s sentencing describes two previous violent incidents. The first happened about three months before the February beating while the couple was traveling in Europe; Rihanna slapped Brown during an argument, and he shoved her into a wall. In the second instance, Brown allegedly broke the front and passenger side windows on a Range Rover they were driving while visiting Barbados, Rihanna ‘s home country. Neither attack was reported, the probation report states.
Brown will serve his sentence in his home state – Virginia – and his community labor will be overseen by the police chief in Richmond.
The judge said she wanted to ensure that Brown, 20, performs physical labor instead of community service, such as mentoring young people. He will also undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.
Obviously not a good year for rappers and their wives.
According to police, Juelz Santana, the rapper who’s collaborated with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Cam’ron, was arrested at his home in New Jersey — after his wife told cops he threatened to kill her!
Cops tell us they showed up at Santana’s Teaneck home around 10:30 this morning after his wife called 911.
According to law enforcement sources, Santana’s wife did not need medical assistance — but she told police the threat was made in front of a child.
The rapper was arrested on domestic charges and is still in police custody.
UPDATE: A rep for Santana tells TMZ the rapper is not married, the child present was not his son and his bail was set at $300.
Then there’s this: The rep adds, “He has problems with the people in his complex, they hate on him because he is a rapper with big cars.”

Dwayne McKenzie works for the rapper’s company G-Unit and lives on the sprawling property, which used to be owned by boxer Mike Tyson. Court documents obtained by the Hartford Courant newspaper allege McKenzie requested oral sex from a woman during an Aug. 16 gathering at the 50,000-square-foot mansion in the Hartford metropolitan area suburb Farmington.
A friend of the woman took offense, and a fight ensued, police said.
Police Lt. William M. Tyler said 50 Cent wasn’t at the home, which has 19 bedrooms and 37 bathrooms and boasts a gym, billiards rooms, racquetball courts and a disco with stripper poles.
When the woman and her friend decided to leave the mansion, witnesses said, another woman, Michelle Krzykowski, ran after them and grabbed the friend, and McKenzie told her she was attacking the wrong person, according to a warrant for McKenzie’s arrest.
Krzykowski hit the woman with a hard object, leaving a large gash in her head, police said. Witnesses told police McKenzie pinned the woman to the ground while Krzykowski hit her.
“He’s not a celebrity, but he works for one,” Klein said. “So I guess he can be targeted by people looking to make hay.”
McKenzie, 28, was blasted in the eyes with pepper spray during the fight, Klein said. He faces several charges stemming from the incident and is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Hartford Superior Court, but his lawyer is expected to ask for the case to be continued until Sept. 1.
Krzykowski, of New Britain, also faces assault charges. She’s due in court Sept. 1. No published telephone number for her could be found.
50 Cent bought the mansion for $4.1 million. He said it had “a ‘Miami Vice’ feel,” and he spent $6 million on renovations and repairs.
But the rapper, who’s from New York City, said he was growing tired of the two-hour commute and put the home up for sale for $18.5 million before dropping the price to $10.9 million this summer.
McKenzie and Krzykowski are free on bond.

Even though I don’t really drink beer, I still say God Bless America for the right to have a brew if I so desired. I respect this woman for her strength. While we in the United States still fight for equal wages as men, we should not take for granted our freedoms as women across the world fight for rights and freedom of choice.

She pleaded guilty to the offence under Islamic law committed in 2007 and has not appealed against her sentence.

So how far way was Rihanna from this gab fest?
Brown hit the set of Keri Hilson‘s forthcoming clip Slow Down, where he’ll make a cameo amongst other stars like R&B songstress Monica, Omarion and Polow Da Don.
Brown is due for formal sentencing this week in relation to battery charges, stemming from a February incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The Forever crooner plead down to probation with community service, and a year-long domestic violence
Justin Timberlake‘s “Play” cologne (rhymes with “alone,” remember) for Givenchy tries to emulate handheld gadgets with Play/Rewind/Forward touch buttons, but it’s all a trick. You can never rewind to that less-smelly, less-desperate time before you bought this stuff.
Influenced, in the most irritating way, by “mobile multimedia gadgets, those quintessential objects of modernity and style that have become both everyday objects and icons of our era,” this cologne features a touch-based play button that presumably sprays whatever club-scented girl-repellent lies within the bottle. It’s a pretty silly idea and actually features poor design: No 3.5mm headphone jack? Did JT learn nothing from the T-Mobile G1? But if you want to smell like an international pop star, or at least like an international pop star’s publicist, it’s available in Europe right now. [Givenchy via Boing Boing Gadgets]

The Hot for Teacher phenomenon continues..
A former Helper Junior High School teacher charged with having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student paid her victim between $1,400 and $1,500 after the encounters, court documents allege.
New details about the relationship between Melissa Ann Andreini and her alleged victim emerged from a probable cause statement recently filed in 7th District Court.
According to the statement, the victim’s mother confronted Andreini at Andreini’s home in Helper on July 3 after finding out the teacher was supposedly having sex with her son. Andreini admitted to the boy’s mother that she had sex with the teenager on several occasions at her home, according to the statement.
A Utah Division of Child and Family Services worker along with police interviewed the boy about his relationship with Andreini, which he said started during the 2008-09 school year, according to the statement.
The boy told police Andreini used to bring him and his friends coffee two to three times a week before school started. The boys went to Andreini’s classroom to get the drinks, according to the statement. The victim reported to police that Andreini paid him money after three separate sexual episodes at her home in June.
Court documents do not specify if the money exchanged was for sex or to keep the boy quiet about the encounters. The victim’s mother told police Andreini admitted to paying the boy between $1,400 and $1,500 when the mother confronted Andreini on July 3, according to the statement.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — An AIDS advocacy group filed complaints with state officials against 16 production companies that show unprotected sex in porn movies.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation filed the action Thursday with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, alleging the practice amounts to unsafe behavior in a California workplace.
“We will not stop until there is a policy of requiring condoms to be used in porn,” foundation president Michael Weinstein said.

New York (AP) — A New York City photographer gives himself 30 seconds to take 10 shots of nude models on the subway.
Fearing arrest, Zach Hyman also keeps bail money handy, takes along a lookout for police and keeps his lawyer on speed dial.
He also takes nude photos in Times Square and Chinatown.
During a recent shoot on a subway car, one woman screamed while an elderly man started shaking. Most passengers, though, were blase.
An exhibit of 14 of his images opens Thursday at Chair and Maiden Gallery in Manhattan. Hyman says he’s inspired by nude paintings at the Met. He insists his photos aren’t pornographic.
People’s private parts, he says, are “one of the unifying aspects of being human.”
