Seth MacFarlane is finally spilling the secrets of “Family Guy” — including the fact that, yes, baby Stewie is gay.

“We had an episode that went all the way to the script phase in which Stewie does come out,” MacFarlane, the show’s creator, says in the September issue of Playboy magazine. “It had to do with the harassment he took from other kids at school. He ends up going back in time to prevent a passage in Leviticus from being written: ‘Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is an abomination.’

MTV SET TO WALK AWAY FROM ITS TIMES SQUARE STUDIO

The cable channel plans to unplug its famed studio overlooking Times Square at the end of the year, according to landlord SL Green, which has put the space on the market.

MTV’s parent, Viacom, didn’t renew its studio lease when it extended its lease on more than 1 million square feet of offices at 1515 Broadway, between 44th and 45th streets, last year. And while it could still make an offer on the space that’s now possibly 10 times more costly than it was 12 years ago, it has not yet done so.

“We’re taking it back from MTV at end of year,” SL Green Leasing Director Steven Durels said. “We’re actively marketing it, and we think it will be the crowning touch of the retail development we’ve done since we bought the building,” which signed store tenants Billabong, Element and Bank of America.

Jury to continue deliberation in C-Murder’s trial

GRETNA, La. (AP) – The jury in the second-degree murder trial of rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller plans to continue deliberations.Saying they were exhausted and wanted to rest and make a fresh start, the jury said they were unable to debate further Monday. The judge reluctantly let them call it quits after nine hours of deliberation and sent them to a hotel for the night.

Jurors are trying to decide whether Miller is guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Steve Thomas, but were having trouble reaching a consensus. At least 10 of the 12 jurors must agree on a verdict.

The 38-year-old Miller would face a mandatory life term if convicted. The jury could also find him guilty of manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of 40 years.

Judge approves Michael Jackson movie

Sony has secured the rights to release “This Is It,” a film using footage of Michael Jackson’s rehearsals for his “This Is It” tour.

Sony is paying concert promoter AEG Live and Jackson’s estate $60 million for the footage, which will be presented in HD, with some sequences in 3D, when it hits theaters Oct. 30. The film is being directed by Kenny Ortega, who was directing the concert and who also helmed the “High School Musical” movies.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved the deal Friday and announced his ruling Monday during a hearing where a separate merchandising deal, on which he is yet to rule, was being considered.

The studio said the film will be drawn from hundreds of hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage — most of which was shot in June at Staples Center in Los Angeles and the Forum in Inglewood — as well as interviews with friends and collaborators of the late performer, who died on June 25.

The rapper avoided all press, staying true to his statement at last week’s dinner celebrating Hussein Chalayan, when he said, “I don’t do interviews anymore. With anyone. For the rest of my life.”

When introduced to a reporter, West visibly withdrew and ignored all questions, instead opted to tout the achievements of his current squeeze, Amber Rose. “She just did her first shoot for Ford,” he exclaimed proudly, gesturing toward a beaming Rose, who was dressed in a leather corset and leggings not dissimilar to the black bondage-style stage costume sported by West.

The rapper didn’t offer any further comments. JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) – Police in Jersey City plan to release a video of a gun battle that left five officers wounded, including one who later died.

Suspects Hassan Shakur and his wife, Amanda Anderson, were also killed in the July 16 shootout.

Police say they were staking out the couple who were suspected in an armed robbery when they emerged from an apartment and Shakur brandished a shotgun.

Det. Marc DiNardo was shot in the face when officers stormed the apartment. He was taken off life support the following week and died one day before his 38th birthday.

The other wounded officers survived.
