On June 25th we lost one of the Greatest performers of all time in Michael Jackson. Rather than spend all of our time weeping, we took to the streets to celebrate life of the King of Pop and his many contributions to us his fans!
New Yorker, Ray Fiore gets the party started on West 3rd out side of Negril when he drives up in his eccentrically painted car and begins blasting our favorite Michael Jackson hits.
For More of New York Celebrating the Life of Michael Jackson visit:

This is definitely a shocker, especially after Rafer played so well for the Magic and was an vital part of getting them to the Finals.
LMAO! 1,500 plus CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! This is not the final routine, and definitely not a punishment! just a teaser.
After hanging out in Harlem all day and seeing people dance for hours straight to Mike’s discography, I felt this hilarious clip was appropriate for the times. This is a testament to his transformational powers, he even gave midgets swag…unbelievable.

Red & Meth bodied this beat and this video. Note to self: Listen to “BLACKOUT 2“
This enlightening documentary gives you the background on the roots of the word “GHETTO” and what’s uncovered needs to be seen and shared so we can know the history of the “condition” if we are to come up with a “prescription”

Two people are in custody Thursday in connection with Wednesday night’s drive-by slaying of a 9-year-old girl who was outside her grandmother’s house washing her dog when she was shot in the neck, according to a published report.
A rifle possibly linked to the crime has also been recovered, a police source said. Forensic tests are under way to see if it was the weapon used to kill Chastity Turner.
Speaking at an unrelated event late Thursday morning, police Supt. Jody Weis said as of 11 a.m., detectives were interviewing several people and had “very, very good leads.” At the time, he would not confirm that two people were in custody, or say whether a weapon had been recovered.

This is the world’s BIGGEST song EVER. This one took Mike off-the-wall and put him over-the-top. They say it’s THRILLER!
We grew up on BILLIE JEAN via Hot Traxx and the experience was UNREAL seeing this. The floor lighting up, the Smooth Criminal doing his jig, it was just unworldly.
Nobody on the planet was BAD as Mike at his height. In my heart he still reigns supreme as the best that has ever done it, minus everything out that will be thrown his way to tarnish a stellar legacy.

“I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. ForMichael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words,” he was quoted as saying.
“Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80’s. To this day, the music we created together on ’Off The Wall’,’Thriller’ and ’Bad’ is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.
“He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.”

Damn, RIP to the legend. The Godfather James passed on the 25th and now Mike has joined that great big orchestra in the sky. We will always love the KING. Long Live the KING!

TMZ reports that Michael Jackson has been taken to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles hospital by ambulance for cardiac arrest. Sources are stating that a 911 call was received from Jackson’s Holby Hills residence was placed at 12:21 PM Thursday afternoon.
Jackson’s father, Joe, told E! News that he’s aware of the emergency but didn’t have any details.
“I am in Las Vegas, but yes, people in Los Angeles called me and are with Michael and tell me he was taken to the hospital,” Jackson said. “His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him.”
“I am not sure what’s wrong. I am waiting to hear back from them,” he added.

WTF? Like I was saying earlier, it feels like Bizarro world in Hip Hop as of lately. Last year Wayne took us to Mars, this year Snoop is in the booth with Aldrin, the second dude to set foot on the moon. What’s next, a remix with Kanye and The Dream for the “Walking on the Moon” joint? That’ll be a great shoe in wouldn’t it be?

LMAO! Man, this one knocked me off my rocker. Who would’ve thought they’d be waking up to see Hurricane Chris getting honored in the Louisiana House of Representatives, with a suit on nonetheless? Well, at the end of the day its still a large look for Hip Hop and especially for the youth of Louisiana, who can see hard work gets acknowledged at the highest levels of government. Halle Berry owes this dude some of that action she got reserved for Jamie Fozz by the way!
This project excites if for nothing else because its a break from the norm, an ambitious project with a purpose. Growing up in Flatbush, I always wondered why no rapper grouped with a reggae artist, when truthfully they are the illest lyricist in the game. So to see one of my favorites in the game team up with a legend in the name of the Motherland, I will buy 10 of these albums, word is bond.
C’mon folks, this sh*t is major reckless. According to a panel we attended last month, no iPhone app can be approved without going throught the appropriate screening process by Apple, so the question begs to be asked, who the f*ck approved this and why isn’t their head rolling as we speak? America sure does have a way with devouring her young.
Ross keeps rolling them out. By time he’s done he’ll have a vid for every joint on his album, and hopefully have a gold plaque to walk away with for all the hard work. Um, somebody tell the big fella leave the goons out the booth though, its getting kind of crowded in there!
Now we all know nobody does violence like Tarantino but if they can fantacize about giving Hitler the bizness (II) then we need a slave era adaption in the same vein to get the blood boiling. Scripts anyone?

NEW YORK May 2009 data from Nielsen Online show that people continue to spend more time on social networking and blog sites than ever before. Total minutes increased 82 percent year-over-year and the average time per person increased 67 percent year-over-year in May 2009.
Twitter.com was the fastest-growing Web brand in May 2009, increasing 1,448 percent year over year, from 1.2 million unique visitors in May 2008 to 18.2 million in 2009.
Despite being the fastest-growing brand year-over-year, Twitter’s month-over-month growth has begun to slow, increasing 7 percent from April.
The average time per person on Twitter increased 175 percent year-over-year, from 6 minutes and 19 seconds in May 2008 to 17 minutes and 21 seconds in May 2009. However, month-over-month growth was flat, decreasing 1 percent from April 2009.

This guy should have been bagged along time ago. No way any person of another race would have gotten away with the threats and rants he spewed for years.
Hal Turner, an occasional talk show host on internet radio and blogger, was arrested today by the FBI in his New Jersey home on charges he threatened to murder three federal appeals court judges in Chicago following their recent ruling upholding handgun bans.
According to the U.S. attorney’s office, postings on Turner’s web site included photos of the judges and addresses for them, with statements such as: “Let me be the first to say this plainly; These judges deserve to be killed.”
The three judges have long served on the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals: Frank Easterbrook, the current chief judge; and Richard Posner and William Bauer.
Turner, known for his white supremacist views, has been on the radar of federal authorities before. In the wake of the murder of the husband and mother of U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow in 2005, Turner’s web site carried the courthouse addresses of appeals court judges who had ruled against white supremacist Matthew Hale in a civil case.

After taking somewhat of a hiatus, the Air Jordan Spiz’ike is back in one of the most classic Jordan colorways of all time. There are a few interesting design changes on this model as well, that bring this Spiz’ike even closer to the original Jordan offerings. Most notably, the “Spike” print on the heel and toe has been replaced with Jordan’s iconic elephant print. Judging by past Spiz’ike releases, this black, grey and red colorway is sure to be extremely popular when it drops.
The shoe is scheduled to release in February 2010, but for those of you who can’t wait osneaker.com claims they will soon have a size run in stock. Stay tuned for a closer look in the coming days.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns have come to an agreement on a blockbuster trade that sends Shaquille O’Neal to Cleveland to team with LeBron James, according to sources.
The deal has been agreed to in principle and is expected to be finalized Thursday, according to sources.
Cleveland will send Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic to Phoenix for the future Hall of Famer. Sources said the Suns will also receive the 46th pick in Thursday’s NBA draft and $500,000.
The trade gives the Cavs a player they’ve coveted since February. With center Zydrunas Ilgauskas starting to break down, adding Shaq to the roster gives them a dominant force in the middle. The Cavs were obviously unhappy with their ability to defend Dwight Howard in the playoffs and bringing Shaq into the fold should help.
The Cavaliers were also in talks with New Orleans about obtaining Tyson Chandler. If they had not made the trade for O’Neal, they would have traded for Chandler, according to a source.
The Cavs felt O’Neal was the better option because he has just one year left on his contract, and will not eat up cap space that will enable them to pursue free agents such as Chris Bosh in next summer’s star-studded free agent class. Chandler, who has had injury problems the past two postseasons, has a player option for $12.7 million in 2010-2011 that he is likely to pick up.
I will believe when I see it. If this report were proved to be accurate, what will governments do with laws structured to lock away people for years for minor drug offenses? If the demand is lessing then the laws should reflect it too.
Definitely not for the faint of heart.

On their website they touch on who their target is: “In Singapore, the bright and vibrant Americana décor has made our restaurants the favourite meeting place for young people, including college students and working professionals.” OK, so it’s not families or young children (I guess), but this ad is still insulting to teens and young professionals.

With the debate growing about stereotypes in the media Ashton Kutcher sent this youtube video via Twitter whereas a 27 year-old Bill Cosby discusses stereotypes in his comedy routine.
Well this to say the least is a valiant effort but in my eyes once you go gay there is no return especially when it involves a man. Hypocritical in some eyes but that is just my opinion.

When Lil Jon announced the launch of his own wine company early last year, people were surprised, but it seems to be winning people over.
The rapper/producer recently took home an award from the Los Angeles International Wine and Spirits Competition. His 2006 Central Coast Chardonnay took a Silver Medal, and Jon was more than excited.
In all CAPS, an excited Jon tweeted about the win: “FOR ALL YALL SUKKAS THAT WERE HATING ON MY WINE CHECK THIS OUT!! WE WINNING AWARDS TWITT!!! GET U SOME.”
The Chardonnay that won contains “fruit from one of California’s finest Chardonnay growing regions,” according to the winery’s website. “These grapes are picked at optimum ripeness for inviting flavors while retaining the cool climate acidity. This wine can accompany cheeses, chicken, fish, and many other types of cuisine.”
The rapper’s venture is called the Little Jonathan Winery, which Jon says is “a little bit more upscale than regular ‘Lil Jon.’ … This is not no ghetto Boone’s Farm; this is some real wine.”
I peeped this over at Complex and thought, damn they killed the realism factor in this game. Gotta experience this on the big screen.
Shout out to my homie Soph for this one. There are a million scenarios I can think of to spoof this sh*t. Let the imaginatio drift!

That Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which opens today, is a narrative and conceptual mess is neither surprising nor the greatest of its blames. That it is, at critical moments, visually incomprehensible—and this from someone who considered the faceted clatter of the first film’s shifting multiplanes, at moments, symphonic—is the least of its faults.
That it endorses crude racism, however, serving up, not one, but two near-buckdancing, shiftless Black stereotypes—the sambots, as one reviewer adeptly punned, Skids, top and above right, and his twin (get this), Mudflap—reveals not only how clearly insulated the white people who work at Paramount and for director Michael Bay appear to be in their racial supremacy, but how out of touch they must be with developing, changing American and world tastes in entertainment. (That’s without even getting into what will surely be Afrocentric outrage at key scenes of desecration.)
Here’s my prediction: Transformers: ROTF will do huge first-week numbers, based on awe-inspiring trailer footage, then rapidly descend in flames from orbit, as people share with friends that the film is a stinking, heaving pile of constipated rhinoceros feces.
Another one bites the Republican dust.
