BREAKING NEWS: Max B. Sentenced To 75 Years

Harlem, New York rapper Max B. was sentenced to 75 years in prison today (September 3) for his role in a botched robbery that led to a double murder in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel.

Max B., born Charly Wingate, appeared in a Hackensack, New Jersey court today with co-defendant Kevin Leerdam.

Max B. and Leerdam were convicted on charges of felony murder, kidnapping and armed robbery for planning and robbing Allan Plowden and David Taylor at a Holiday Inn in September of 2006.

Taylor was shot and killed during the robbery, which was planned with Max B.’s ex-girl friend Gina Conway, who testified against the pair during their June trial.

Max B. was not happy with the situation and fired his attorney Gerald Saluti, just before the 75-year sentenced was handed down.

The first ten times I heard this story it was of interest now its pretty much drawn out.  Prophet Jones says he foresaw the breakup in a vision and told Cam.  He also says he envisioned a reunion, which has yet to materialize.  Dame speaks on the parallels the breakup had to his split with Jay, which rendered him a sideline witness to the Death of the Diplomat Dynasty.

Jim Jones Arrested in New Jersey, Twitters Incident

Joseph “Jim Jones” Guillermo was arrested Monday (April 6) morning on an outstanding warrant in Teaneck, New Jersey while driving through the area.

The incident reportedly took place around midnight.

Jones was driving his 2007 black Bentley when a Teaneck police officer noticed he was missing a front license plate, said police Capt.Keith Richter. After police stopped Jones around 12:10 a.m., they found the rapper had an outstanding warrant out of Paterson and arrested him. Richter confirmed Jones, who provided a Newark home address, paid $120 and was released. Paterson Police Lt. Donald Giaquinto said the warrant was for unpaid motor vehicle tickets. (North Jersey)

Jones also resorted to Twittering while the arrest was taking place.

“I decide to drive by myself let’s see how this plays out,” he wrote unmodified prior to the arrest. “Misses officer let me go the funny part was watching them have to count all the money in my pocket lol I must say they were very cool…And it was a punk ass warrant from 2005 for 120 dollars…Make sure you pay old tickets.” (Jim Jones’ Twitter)

Jim Jones Refuses Plea Deal In Assault Case, “It’s A Setup For A Civil Lawsuit”

Byrd Gang leader Jim Jones appeared in court today (March 24) turning down a possible plea deal for the alleged assault towards an associate of R&B singer Ne-Yo.

The Harlem-bred rapper’s decision was made Tuesday in Manhattan Court, New York.

Jones has rejected a plea deal that would have required 10 days of community service for allegedly attacking a rival recording artist’s friend. Jones, 32, was charged with misdemeanor assault after a fight with Javon Smith inside a Louis Vuitton store on East 57th Street. Smith was with R&B singer-rapper Ne-Yo. Defense lawyer Scott Leemon called the case “a setup for a civil lawsuit” and payday for Javon Smith. Leemon says witnesses reported Jones did not start the fight and is innocent. (Associated Press)

He previously appeared in court last month pleading not guilty on the assault charge.

Jones pleaded not guilty on Wednesday (February 4). “I’m trying to stay away from this building,” quipped the “Pop Champagne” rapper as he emerged from Manhattan Criminal Court after being arraigned. He downplayed the misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the Dec. 22 fisticuffs with Jayvon Smith. “It’s what you call an expensive inconvenience,” said Jones, wrapping an arm around his lawyer, Scott Leemon. Jim Jones To Pre-Release “Pray IV Reign” Tracks

Over the next month leading up to the release of his upcoming album, Pray IV Reign, Jones will be pre-releasing a handful of tracks exclusively on iTunes for purchase. His second single, “Na Na Nana Na Na,” [click to listen] has been up for download since yesterday, and “Precious” and “Frienemies” will be available March 3 and March 17 respectively.

Coined the “Countdown to ‘Pray IV Reign’,” iTunes will allow purchasing users to choose “Complete My Album” when the album is officially released, without charging for tracks already bought.

Pray IV Reign will be released in stores and online March 24 through Columbia Records.

Max B Latest Rapper To Be Shot?

According to Miss Info word is that ex-Dipset/Byrd Gang member Max B was shot on Wednesday in a botched robbery attempt in Long Island. Supposedly he was shot twice, treated for his wounds then he signed himself out of the hospital a la Tupac-Makaveli style, living up to his Bigavelli moniker. Although details are sketchy Info is saying she recieved a call from a women claiming to be Max B’s publicist and she varified that he was home healing, even though she described his condition as critical. Earlier Wednesday, another Arthur Kill alumni was murdered on the streets of Brooklyn, when a single shot took the life of aspiring rapper Cavlar. Could somebody tell KRS-One he needs to rush that Self Construction project ASAP!
