In what can arguably be considered a hip-hop public service announcement, Malice – one half of the Virgina rap duo Clipse – put out a short video on his newly launched blog to address his real life versus the drug-dealing life he rhymes about.

As previously reported Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez, an associate of the Clipse,  was recently indicted for running a $10 million drug ring in Virgina Beach.

Without specifically mentioning the situation, Malice released a Vlog speaking about how his rap verses are more fantasy than reality. “There’s a lot of foolishness in hip-hop as my grandmother would say,” he said. “And I just want to say that I am and have been a part of the problem, the thing about it is I need foolishness in my hip-hop, I need foolishness in my movies. I happen to like that. To me a movie is not good unless you got some bricks being moved or a few people get killed.”

U.S. manufacturers, including major drugmakers, have legally released at least 271 million pounds of pharmaceuticals into waterways that often provide drinking water – contamination the federal government has consistently overlooked, according to an Associated Press investigation.

Hundreds of active pharmaceutical ingredients are used in a variety of manufacturing, including drugmaking: For example, lithium is used to make ceramics and treat bipolar disorder; nitroglycerin is a heart drug and also used in explosives; copper shows up in everything from pipes to contraceptives.

Federal and industry officials say they don’t know the extent to which pharmaceuticals are released by U.S. manufacturers because no one tracks them – as drugs. But a close analysis of 20 years of federal records found that, in fact, the government unintentionally keeps data on a few, allowing a glimpse of the pharmaceuticals coming from factories.

As part of its ongoing PharmaWater investigation about trace concentrations of pharmaceuticals in drinking water, AP identified 22 compounds that show up on two lists: the EPA monitors them as industrial chemicals that are released into rivers, lakes and other bodies of water under federal pollution laws, while the Food and Drug Administration classifies them as active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Candy-Flavored Cocaine Found in California…

This is definetly a surprising and shocking story about some cocaine found in California. The coke seems to be have given a recognizable candy flavor. This seems puzzling because cocaine is not ingested, so the allure of a candy taste is weird. The article below seeks to explain the attraction of sweet cocaine.

Federal drug agents say candy-flavored cocaine is a new and troubling development and are hoping to keep it from spreading to the rest of the country after its recent emergence in California.

Cocaine cut with an added flavoring is less potent, but the 1½ pounds seized last month were a full-strength powder into which strawberry, coconut, lemon and cinnamon flavoring had been chemically synthesized.

“Attempting to lure new, younger customers to a dangerous drug by adding candy flavors is an unconscionable marketing technique,” Taylor said. He said it was vital that law enforcement authorities work together quickly to shut down operations that could spread the new drug to other parts of the country.

Parents Clash Over Which Gang Their Child Will Join? Crips or Westside Ballers…

A young couple got into a fracas over which gang their 4 year old will join. The mom is a Crip and the father is a Westside Baller and apparently the tot’s gang affilation is major arguement in the household. Unbelieveable.

On Saturday, Joseph Manzanares stormed into the Hollywood Video store where his girlfriend worked, threatened to kill her and knocked over several video displays and even a computer, Commerce City police Sgt. Joe Sandoval said.

His girlfriend told police that they had been arguing about the upbringing of their son and which gang he should belong to. The teen mother, who is black, is a member of the Crips. Manzanares is Hispanic and belongs to the Westside Ballers gang, the woman said.

Drinking Age To Be Lowered to 18? Seven States Say Maybe…

In what would be a historic legal decision, seven states are comptemplating lowering the legal drinking age to 18.
Supporting the measures are youth advocates whose rationale is that the “forbidden fruit” of underage drinking would dissappear if the legal age is lowered.

The government is actively trying to persuade these states from changing when teens are able to as we say “Get Smashed!!”.

Sean Levert Collapses & Dies In Chicago Jail

WTF!? Sean Levert, brother of Gerald Levert, son of O’Jay alum Eddie Levert collapsed in the Cuyahoga County Jail while serving time for failing to pay child support. Sean, 39 was rushed to the hospital and died from unknown causes. In November 2006 Levert passed away at 40 from a concoction of prescription meds and over-the-counter drugs. Best known as a member of the super group Levert, Sean also made appearances in movies like New Jack City. Damn, say a prayer for Eddie. Story still developing…

Robert Downey Jr. Plays Black Man in Stiller Film

Robert Downey Jr, who is set to play Iron Man this summer, has caused a bunch of controversey not related to the soon to be blockbuster comic book flick. Robert who has keep his drug demons at bay for the last few years, has decided along with the blessing of Ben Stiller to portray a black man in the film Tropic Thunder.

The film is causing debate on all sides of the politically correct racial lines we are now threading(especially with a great black senator ahead in the race for democratic presidential nominee).

 In the this pic, I myself was fooled into believing this was an actual brother.Though the film will not be released until August we will see if public ridicule will let this film see the light of day.

Rapper Brings Razors on a Plane

 

In a truly wtf story, a Tamba Bay rapper has been arrested for carrying a concealed weapon(boxcutter) on an airplane in a hollowed out book. Reports allege he claims to have used the book as a stash for money and weed that he hid from his roomates, and that he boarded the plane forgetting to remove the book from his luggage. In addition his rhyme book(lyrics), were found to have strong references to drugs, guns, and violence. Already serving a 30 day sentence with serious state charges to follow, this has to be a case of when keeping it real goes wrong..
