[video] Newark Narcotic Police Find 500 Bricks of “Lil Wayne” Branded Heroin

There are so many different ways to go with this but since it seems Wayne has been pretty sober since his release I will leave it alone.

PIX News took a ride along with Newark police yesterday and saw the spoils of a drug bust: 500 bricks of heroin. The stash was hidden inside a side panel of an suv, latched shut by a special motor that was built specifically for the purpose of transporting illegal drugs. The packets have brand names too, these were called “Lil wayne…” named after the popular musician. The destination of the drugs, worth $250 million, the streets of Newark.

The Audacity Of Dope: Cops: New York dealers sold heroin branded with president’s name

via Smoking Gun

JANUARY 23–Add heroin to the scores of products that have been branded with President Barack Obama’s name. Cops in upstate New York this week broke up a drug ring that allegedly sold heroin under several brand names, including “Obama.” obama_brand1

As seen in Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office photos, the president’s surname was stamped in red ink on small glassine wrappers that were peddled by street dealers. Investigators arrested five suspects for their alleged roles in the narcotics distribution activity. The branding of illicit drugs is a favorite of pushers, who have previously sold bin Laden heroin, Harry Potter Ecstasy, bricks of Teletubbies cocaine, and green-tinted crack in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day.

Girl,12, OD’s On Meth Pills Bought from Boy,15…

This should be a lesson to the dangers of popping pills of any kind. Though pill use is still glamorized in movies and music it is still deadly habit, just ask the family of Heath Ledger. The story below reads like a afterschool special. Sad Indeed.

YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) — A 12-year-old girl died of a methadone overdose after taking pills she bought from a 15-year-old boy, authorities said.

The boy has been charged as a juvenile with criminally negligent homicide, criminal sale of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child, his lawyer said Wednesday.

The boy took the pills – knowing what they were – from his father’s drawer March 10 and brought them to the girl, Dana Marie Regan, police youth investigator Charles Lopez testified Wednesday in Family Court in Westchester County. Methadone is best known as a prescription drug that curbs heroin addiction, but it increasingly is prescribed as a painkiller.

Lopez said the boy told him he and a male friend each took two pills, and Dana downed about four. The boy told Lopez he soon felt sick and went home, leaving Dana with his friend, the investigator testified.

The girl was found dead the next day.
