This guy has nine f**king lives. Just goes to show you how strong his political ties are especially since his mother is a Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, but she now claims this is effecting her possible re-election to Congress.

It is a crying shame if he brings his mother down with him and tarnishes her career in the process. Break down below :

DETROIT (Reuters) – Embattled Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick won a legal victory on Monday when a judge blocked the city council from holding hearings intended to oust him.

Wayne County Circuit Judge Robert Ziolkowski ruled the Detroit City Council does not have authority to move forward with proceedings to remove Kilpatrick under the city charter.

Kilpatrick, 38, still may be removed by Michigan’s Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm, a former ally, who has scheduled a hearing on September 3.

Hip Hop Mayor Says That God Is “Whuppin’ His A**”

Oh Lawdy

After being unceremoniously shut down by the City Council while awaiting trial for perjury charges the embattled Hip Hop Mayor invokes the Lord as the source of his problems. Addressing a crowd of worshippers on Saturday (4/20) at the Fellowship Chapel Church in Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick told the crowd: “I’m not being whupped by the devil; I am being punished by my God. I know that my disobedience put me in the situation I am in.” He made this unprecedented move at the Detroit Manpower Movement event which was “aimed at getting more black men involved in volunteer efforts.”

Editor’s Note: Now, even though that was a “righteous” gesture to make in the spirit of taking responsibility for one’s action, I can’t honestly say that it was the best legal move to make, I mean after all he is pleading “not-guilty” to the charges.

City Council Pulls the Plug On Hip Hop Mayor

Silence of the Lambs

In an embarrassing political manuever the Detroit City Council silenced the Hip Hop Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. He entered the Council chambers and attempted to propose a budget, only to be rebuffed by the Council President Ken Cockrel, who informed Kilpatrick that members voted to not hear from the Mayor. The session was quickly adjourned and a visibly embarrassed Kilpatrick responded, “this could have been done in my office.”

Kilpatrick and his former chief of staff Christine Beatty have been brought up on perjury, misconduct and obstruction of justice charges, stemming from lying under oath about carrying on an extramarital affair until details emerged in the form of text messaging. The Council previously voted 7-1 for the Mayor to resign, loudly voicing their displeasure with his leadership. This is just the latest dust-up in the deteriotating career of Kilpatrick, once dubbed the Hip Hop Mayor. CLICK HERE for more on this embarrassing story.

Relaxing, laughing, talking, sleeping and making love.”  The Chief of Staff has recently resigned but Kilpatrick is determined to remain Mayor for the rest of his term.  Prosecutors are weighing whether or not to bring charges against the embattled Mayor.  A conviction for lying under oath carries a stiff fifteen joints in the penileCLICK HERE for the rest of the scandal laden story.

Editor’s Note: Damn homey, I can’t help but notice the similarites to Slick Willie’s Oval Office romps…and just to think he was being groomed for bigger things.
