ABOUT THE F.I.R.M.

The F.I.R.M.’s mission is to provide new programs and initiatives to help raise the quality of music and music education. The company is founded by Kevin Shine, A& R Consultant to Wayne Williams, the tenured Senior Vice President of A&R for Jive Records. The F.I.R.M. has emerged during a pivotal era for music, not just in the Atlanta community, but worldwide. The goals of The F.I.R.M. is to provide a resource for A&R Development, exposure to Writers and Artists, and education of the music industry and the rules of today. The F.I.R.M. will generate interest and recognition through events and educational forums and position the company as a local and national resource for exceptional talent, consulting, education and rewarding music business opportunities.

Kevin Shine is a proven music industry executive with 15 years of experience in various capacities, including both A&R and management. Kevin moved from Chicago and recognized a need in Atlanta’s music community. There are limited programs for artists to gain knowledge and development in the music business. While creating opportunities for his highly anticipated songwriting team, Galaxy, he developed strong alliances with many industry executives and artists. In addition to this, Kevin began to mentor students from MEISA (The Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association) at Georgia State University, while establishing a wide range of programs to support the companies mission. Adding another notch to his belt with the creation of The F.I.R .M., Kevin has been passed the torch and will run to endeavor that this industry of music will continue to grow as we educate the next group of industry professionals, writers and artists of this era.
