Rand Paul is the high ground here. Rachel is at her best as a superficial intellectual.
Paul is anti-racism, pro-private business.
Should a black restaurant owner be required to serve white people who are behaving obnoxiously? What about gay bars reserving the right not to serve straight couples who make out at the bar?
What about drag queens insisting on holding court in a straight-owned and predominently straight-with-children -patronized coffeeshop?
He’s not talking about govt institutions but PRIVATE institutions. A strict interpretation of the Constitution says that YOU have the right to run YOUR business (a property) as you see fit.
Why would we have the right to determine how a private citizen should run his/her own private business?
Why would anyone have the right to tell you to whom you must sell, and who you must hire in YOUR private business?
