Ad Age: Is Kat Stacks the Creepiest Twitter Trend Ever?

Source:

I have never posted anything on this blog about the social media phenomenon of Kat Stacks, but she has become so big that she is now trending consistently on Twitter and Ad age has written a brief article that they have entitled “Is Kat Stacks the Creepiest Twitter Trend Ever?”

via Ad Age

The hip-hop take-over of Twitter continues, with perhaps the creepiest social-media-created celebrity brand ever, Kat Stacks, taking the No. 10 spot on our list. Stacks, for the uninitiated, is a hip-hop groupie who uses social media to detail her alleged conquests. Her Twitter stream is so x-rated I’m not even going to link to it, and you can find videos on YouTube with titles like “Kat Stacks Speaking on Sleeping With Lil Wayne, Nelly, Bow Wow and Entire Young Money!” (Bow Wow, for one, has denied even knowing her, let alone having sex with her.)

White teen beaten while Black & Filipino attackers say “This is for enslaving our people.”

For those who have been commenting about our recent post about that a-hole Seattle cop who punched that young woman in the face, well here is another case of brutality that we do not condone. This kid has no power and if you wanna get the people who started slavery start with our government.

Shane McClellan was walking home around 2 a.m. in West Seattle on the night of May 25 when two men asked him for a light. When he approached them, the 16-year-old was knocked to the ground, tortured and beaten for four hours. Now his dad wants to know why police haven’t yet made an arrest, even though they found two suspects who matched McClellan’s description of his attackers with blood on their hands hours after the assault.

[video] Centurion

“Britain, A.D. 117. Quintus Dias, the sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon.”

[video] Behind the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse

via Hypebeast

Shane Kohatsu and Fred Dojan of Nike’s Innovative Kitchen break down the concept behind the brand’s latest Basketball-centric technology in its Hyperfuse silhouette. As interesting as any of Nike’s recent developments, the design follows an aesthetic revolved around Chinese basketball players and their need for shoes that are lightweight, can hold up outdoors, and have great traction/breathability. Enjoy!

[video] New X-Box 360 Bundle Pack

I posted the new Microsoft ‘Kinetic’ video the other day and here is the full bundle pack.

via Engadget
At first we were doubtful that a edgy box appearing in a little Flash ad from Italy last night could be legit, but Microsoft just got real with the new Xbox 360. (That’s all it’s officially called — just “the new Xbox 360.”) It’ll launch today priced for $299, while the old Elite will stick around for $249 and the Arcade will drop to $149. The new box is crazy sexy in glossy black with touch-sensitive buttons, and Microsoft says it’s “whisper quiet,” with one large fan instead of two — the new 45nm chipset undoubtedly generates less heat to begin with. On the features front, it’s got integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports, and 250GB of storage on a removable hard drive, although it’s not a standard drive or same drive as the old console, and older Memory Units won’t work, either. Upgraders can use a USB-to-Xbox hard drive connector cable to migrate to the new box, however. There’s also a “custom Kinect port” on the back that looks like an HTC-style ExtUSB port, and it also seems like the power supply has moved inside the case, which is a welcome change. New Xbox 360 units are shipping to retailers now, with availability expected later this week, and MS conference attendees are actually getting theirs shipped today.

[video] White Seattle Police Officer Punches Black Woman in the Face for Jay Walking

If we did not have cellphones with cameras, stuff like this would go uninvestigated and definitely not reported by mainstream news outlets. Honestly that group of kids should have jumped him, but on second thought that cop would probably have killed a bunch of people. The thing that gets me is that this was supposedly for jaywalking.

via Komo News

Seattle police are investigating what they call an assault of an officer in South Seattle on Monday. However, a police officer is seen punching a 17-year-old girl in the face during the incident captured by a cell phone camera.

[video] Arizona to End Illegal ‘Anchor Baby’ Citizenship

Wow these politicians in Arizona really are out for blood.

(CNN) — A proposed Arizona law would deny birth certificates to children born in the United States to illegal immigrant parents. The bill comes on the heels of Arizona passing the nation’s toughest immigration law.John Kavanagh, a Republican state representative from Arizona who supports the proposed law aimed at so-called “anchor babies,” said that the concept does not conflict with the U.S. Constitution.”If you go back to the original intent of the drafters … it was never intended to bestow citizenship upon (illegal) aliens,” said Kavanagh, who also supported Senate Bill 1070 — the law that gave Arizona authorities expanded immigration enforcement powers.

Microsoft debuts ‘Kinect’ controller-free gaming system

No doubt about it, this is defintely a Wii-killer.

via Huff Post

Microsoft took the wraps off of Microsoft Kinect (formerly known by its code name, “Project Natal”), its highly-anticipated controller-free gaming system for Xbox.

Forget memorizing button sequences, drop the joystick, and put down the Wiimote: Microsoft Kinect, which can “recognize faces, obey voice commands, and track body movements,” according to the LA Times, will enable users to control their video game avatars just by moving their bodies in front of the Kinect (see video below). Kinect users will also be able to control movies just by speaking commands, such as “play” or “pause.”

İsraeli soldiers murdering Peace Activist on The Freedom Flotilla

I guess this is what some Israeli citizens were celebrating the other day after this story broke of these peace activists being murdered. Sad to see someone killed in cold blood on youtube. We have major issues in this world.

This new smuggled video, showing IDF commandos brutally kicking their 19-year-old American captive, who is clearly posing no threat to them, and then firing four shots downward into him. The autopsy showed he was shot four times in the face, and at least once in the back.

[video] Idiots try to change iPod and Weed for iPad

These two dummies really need to lay off the weed because it makes absolutely no sense fo someone to even make this trade let alone over Craiglist.

“This past Thursday, Police arrested two men who posted a Craigslist ad (pictured above) in an effort to try and trade a 32 GB iPod Touch and a sizeable amount of Pot in exchange for an iPad. And as if that wasn’t dumb enough, these enterprising young fellows actually posted a picture of their weed on a scale, sitting right next to a third-generation iPod Touch.
