My brothers and sisters in Jamaica are in crisis with the bleaching of their skin as evidenced by this woman in this video. Outside of the blatant self hate they have for their beautiful melanated skin, the health complications down the line will be severe at best. I cannot wait for the day this practice is finally stomped out in the Caribbean and in parts of Africa. To check out the original of this practice check out the movie Setting The Tone after the cut..
Modern day slavery. This story is heartbreaking to say the least. Rich Arabs doing their best European impersonation in the enslavement of Black Africans in Sudan. Then we have the Christian Missionary to the so-called rescue who are looking for converts in exchange for these people’s freedom. These ‘masters’ they speak of in this doc are just subhuman devils disguised as the Islamic Army who are using innocent children to fight their wars. Sick just plain sick.
Wonder if Trinidad James gets anything for his phrase “Don’t Believe Me Just Watch” currently anchoring the #1 song in the country “Uptown Funk” from Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars? He at least deserves a shout out.
In episode eight of Noisey Atlanta, we examine just how quickly the ups and downs can happen in the trap world. In short, the scene moves fast. To start things off, we meet Bankroll Fresh at a barbershop and talk about the rise of his late summer 2014 hit “Hot Boy.” Then we find ourselves in the studio with the elusive Young Thug before linking with Rich Homie Quan, who tells stories of getting out of jail and eventually forming Rich Gang with Birdman and Thugger (fun fact: RHQ and Young Thug apparently went to middle school together). Later, we catch up with Trinidad Jame$ over a year after the explosion of “All Gold Everything,” showing what can possibly happen to a hyped up rapper after the machine spits ‘em out.

Support black films and independent films… I’m not sure how many theaters this will be in but I’m buying my ticket!
P.S. “Preacher’s Kid” is directed by Stan Foster, the director of T.D. Jakes “Thou Art Loosed.”
Saw this commercial aptly titled “Lifestyles Skyn” and was surprised that they got away with this on cable television. And while posting this I ran across the fairy edition of this commercial. Classic.
Sorry my dear readers but Kanye West is definitely a douche bag. He has totally lost it and I don’t care how much this album sells, he is finished. Hopefully he proves me wrong (doubt it!). Check out this rundown by the peeps over at Mamapop and be sure to go visit their house as much as possible.
Kanye West is a douche for many, many reasons, but it is easy to falter and find yourself thinking “Man, that Kanye’s a pretty wicked dude”. It happens to the best of us, we falter at times, but it shouldn’t have to happen. I have narrowed the proofs of his douchiness down to a ten-point emergency checklist that folds easily into your pocket or wallet for those times when his blinding douchebaggery eludes you.
1. He douched out at the Grammy’s when he took the stage to accept his award, refused to leave the stage when his time was up, and then actually told them to stop playing the get-off-the-stage music so that he could keep talking. Me Kanye. I bes vewy, vewy important.
2. His new album, due out on November 24th, is a departure from his usual style, as he sings more than he raps. That is all good and well, because he is a talented musician, but then he had to go and douche it up by saying that this change in style is an attempt to challenge the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Paul McCartney, who he describes as “those artists in black and white photos”, because taking a crap on music legends serves to make Kanye’s genius obvious to all and sundry.
Nike is at it again. LaDainian Tomlinson and Kimbo Slice show how to train if you’re broke and don’t have anything.
Could be seen as stereotypical or just plain genius. Wherever you stand with this viral video it will definitely be a hit and expect to see more of these soon a la Kobe Bryant. OnSmash has a video of the original ghetto work out right here..
