A spokesperson from ICE confirmed that it was a legitimate seizure and that there is an ongoing investigation into the matter.

Highlights on the agenda:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
The Director of Communications at the White House Office of Health Reform is Linda Douglass, who worked as a reporter for ABC News from 1998-2006.
Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:
Dear Mr. Westin:
As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC’s astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. Lil Kim To Appear on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”

After appearing as a judge in The Pussycat Dolls’ “Girlicious” reality competition, Lil’ Kim will now be switching roles as she has signed on to star as a contestant in the new season of “Dancing With The Stars.” According to the Los Angeles Times the controversial Brooklyn rapstress will be a part of the new cast of the popular TV series, joining comedian David Alan Grier, “Jackass” alumnus Steve-O, former NFL player Lawrence Taylor and singer Jewel, among others.
“It’s the most diverse cast we’ve had,” Deena Katz, the show’s Senior Talent Producer, told People magazine. “The women are phenomenal and the men are such great characters.” The show is scheduled to air on March 9 on ABC. In related news, Kim has been making headlines for comments she made about the Biggie biopic, Notorious. The outspoken rapper has publicly announced her disapproval of her portrayal in the movie.
In an interview with Hip-Hop Weekly she even threw shots at Big’s mother, Voletta Wallace, who produced the film, and widow Faith Evans. “I’ve had enough and I’m about to expose them both … I’ve been quiet for a long time,” she said. “I’m very disappointed in Faith,” she added. “There’s nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin’ B.I.G. all day. I’m gonna always do that … It’s time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed.”

The Jacksons were crowned icons at the BMI Urban Awards, but the King of Pop was absentee.Janet Jackson presented her music-making brothers—Michael, Tito, Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine and Randy—with the lifetime achievement BMI Icon award following a musical tribute at the award show celebrating R&B; and hip-hop’s top hitmakers. While Tito, Jackie, Marlon and Randy reunited Thursday to accept the award, Jermaine and Michael didn’t attend the Wilshire Theatre ceremony.

Journalists Write Letter To ABC Over B*ullshit Debate…

Over forty journalists have written a letter to the pricks at ABC for allowing Charles Gibson & George Stephanopoulos to botch a critical presidential debate instead of dealing with the major issues facing this country and the rest of the world. Full letter below:
We the undersigned deplore the conduct of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and Charles Gibson at the Democratic presidential debate on April 16. The debate was a revolting descent into tabloid journalism and a gross disservice to Americans concerned about the great issues facing the nation and the world. This is not the first Democratic or Republican presidential debate to emphasize gotcha questions over real discussion. However, it is, so far, the worst.
For 53 minutes, we heard no question about public policy from either moderator. ABC seemed less interested in provoking serious discussion than in trying to generate cheap-shot sound bites for later rebroadcast. The questions asked by Mr. Stephanopoulos and Mr. Gibson were a disgrace, and the subsequent attempts to justify them by claiming that they reflect citizens’ interest are an insult to the intelligence of those citizens and ABC’s viewers. Many thousands of those viewers have already written to ABC to express their outrage.

On the eve of the Year of the Rat, I smell a rat. I can’t help but notice the systematic blackout of the “surge” being waged by Camp Obama. The same media outlets who claim that Democrats are ignoring the Bush Administrations success in their Iraqi surge, have decided to stop reporting on the historic, monumental advancements of the Obama campaign. In less than a week Obama has closed the gap on Hillary Clinton to become tied in some polls and in others he has taken the lead but news reports not only neglect to report this but they have spun the story to read that Hillary has caught up to him as if she was the one trailing! Now I can’t help but note had this been a white candidate there would have been a teleprompter interrupting the Super Bowl to chat up the sportsmanlike comparisons of such a formidable opponent as Barack Obama and the obvious comparisons to the underdog Giants coming from behind to rattle the crowd favorite Patriots. And just like the pundits seemed to have count all of their eggs before they hatched in regards to the Patriots taking it home they seem to have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar in regards to Hillary taking the Big Game. Now Big Media doesn’t seem to know how to handle the spectacle of Obama possibly stealing the nomination. After Tuesday’s landslide South Carolina victory, it was predicted that Hillary had a 25-40% lead on Obama. Not only does the USA Today, Wall Street Journal & The Suffolk University poll have Obama ahead but he acquired endorsements from Caroline Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, MoveOn.org, Stevie Wonder, Maria Shriver and La Opinion, the country’s largest Spanish newspaper. The talking heads said in order to contend on Super Tuesday in markets like California where the Hispanic populace holds the keys to victory he would need something gigantic like this. Well, after pulling it off you would think this would be front page news wouldn’t you? Nope. What began as a love affair is now turning into a public grimace as the Media realizes there may be a possibility of one of politics major upsets. Is it racism, favoritism, elitism? Irregardless of the outcome, it remains incumbent upon the news to report the entirety of the story through a fair and balanced lens. When they start doing the opposite in the eyes of the public then they no longer serve the public’s interests and they should be replaced or erased. Turn off channel zero!
