Bill O’Reilly Accused of Assaulting Wife in Domestic Dispute

bill_oreilly6Well…if this is true, he better keep all racist and antagonistic remarks about the violence in urban communities to himself from now on. This is the definition of hypocrisy.

According to a source familiar with the facts of the case, a court-appointed forensic examiner testified at a closed hearing that O’Reilly’s daughter claimed to have witnessed her father dragging McPhilmy down a staircase by her neck, apparently unaware that the daughter was watching. The precise date of the alleged incident is unclear, but appears to have occurred before the couple separated in 2010. The same source indicated that the daughter, who is 16 years old, told the forensic examiner about the incident within the past year.

The apparent domestic violence assault would be the latest in a series of revelations about O’Reilly’s disturbing treatment of his family members, and his ex-wife in particular.

[video] Reporter smacks prankster for interrupting broadcast

Is this guy still working?

via HuffPost

We sympathize with (but do not condone!) reporter Steve Ryan’s reaction after this drunk prankster repeatedly harassed him during his live Las Vegas Strip broadcast about Michael Jackson’s death. Ryan tries to continue his live report, and initially reacts with good humor and patience, but when the man just won’t leave him alone and wrecks the broadcast, Ryan lightly slaps the man in the face. The camera cuts back to the anchors but not before catching the engagement.

Wonkette is right that the stunned expressions (0:33) on the anchors’ faces (especially the one of the right) “might rank among the greatest YouTube freeze-frames of some period of time.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos (GEHR’-uh-gohs), says the deal includes five years of supervised probation and six months of community labor.

Rihanna Wants $1.4M Of Jewelry Back From Night Of Alleged Beating

via HuffPost

LOS ANGELES — Rihanna is seeking the return of $1.4 million in jewelry she was wearing the night she was allegedly beaten by Chris Brown. Donald Etra, an attorney for the “Umbrella” singer, filed a motion Tuesday asking that Los Angeles police and prosecutors return a pair of earrings and three rings, which were seized as evidence.People Rihanna

The motion states that Brown’s attorney, and a Los Angeles Police Department detective overseeing the case, do not object to the return of the items. They have agreed that photographs can be used if the case goes to trial, the documents state.

The filing includes a general description of the items, saying they all are made of “yellow metal” and all but one includes “white stones.” The value of the items is at least $1.4 million, the motion states. It argues that photographs of the items will satisfy the needs of attorneys and asks the court “to order the return of the property to (Rihanna) without further delay.”

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said the agency would not comment on the motion.

The jewelry was part of the ensemble that Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was wearing when Brown allegedly beat her while driving home from a pre-Grammy party. Brown is accused of hitting, biting and choking his girlfriend as the couple drove through the upscale Hancock Park neighborhood. Continue reading

Jim Jones Refuses Plea Deal In Assault Case, “It’s A Setup For A Civil Lawsuit”

via SOHH

Byrd Gang leader Jim Jones appeared in court today (March 24) turning down a possible plea deal for the alleged assault towards an associate of R&B singer Ne-Yo.

The Harlem-bred rapper’s decision was made Tuesday in Manhattan Court, New York.

Jones has rejected a plea deal that would have required 10 days of community service for allegedly attacking a rival recording artist’s friend. Jones, 32, was charged with misdemeanor assault after a fight with Javon Smith inside a Louis Vuitton store on East 57th Street. Smith was with R&B singer-rapper Ne-Yo. Defense lawyer Scott Leemon called the case “a setup for a civil lawsuit” and payday for Javon Smith. Leemon says witnesses reported Jones did not start the fight and is innocent. (Associated Press)

He previously appeared in court last month pleading not guilty on the assault charge.

Jones pleaded not guilty on Wednesday (February 4). “I’m trying to stay away from this building,” quipped the “Pop Champagne” rapper as he emerged from Manhattan Criminal Court after being arraigned. He downplayed the misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the Dec. 22 fisticuffs with Jayvon Smith. “It’s what you call an expensive inconvenience,” said Jones, wrapping an arm around his lawyer, Scott Leemon. Tyrese Gibson Says Rihanna Case Is ‘Taking A Toll’ On Chris Brown

via MTV

In an interview with, Tyrese Gibson spoke out in support of his friend Chris Brown, as well as Rihanna.

“Although he appears to be really strong through all of this, it’s really taking a toll on his spirit,” Gibson reportedly told the site on Sunday at the 2009 Ball Up Street Ball Tour in Los Angeles. “People like me and Puff [Diddy], we’re just trying to show him love and keep his spirits up while he’s going through all of the heat, and there are a lot people doing the same for Rihanna.”

Since news broke in February of the alleged altercation between Brown and Rihanna, the pair reportedly reunited — staying at Diddy’s Miami home — but are now reportedly taking a break. Yet conversation around the incident has continued to rage, and was even the subject of a special episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” earlier this month and a disturbing public service announcement from the teen organization

Gibson also pointed out that the two are still quite young, which makes the situation even more difficult. “And a lot of people forget that he’s 19, she’s only 21.

“It’s really hard for him to focus right now on his music, even though he really wants to,” Gibson continued. “At the end of the day, I’m not trying to justify it because wrong is wrong, but unfortunately, us as entertainers, we have to grow up onstage with a lot of people looking at us.”

Chris Brown’s Manager, Alleged Former Lover Denies Involvement in Alleged Rihanna Assault

via HipHopRX

In a statement released Wednesday, alleged former lover and manager to Chris Brown, Tina Davis, has denied any involvement in causing the alleged fight between Brown and his girlfriend pop singer, Rihanna.

As previously reported, it was believed that Tina Davis supposedly had a previous relationship with Brown when he was 16 years old.chris-brown-and-manager-tin

Also, as stated in the previous reported, Davis was revealed as the supposed mystery woman who allegedly sent a three-page text message to Brown on the day of the altercation and alleged assault sparked over a fight between Chris Brown and Rihanna over the supposed text message, which in a detective’s affidavit reportedly reads was “from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.”

Davis has now denied those allegations.

“There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports,” Davis’ attorney reportedly said in a statement.

Davis is also seeking out the source of the false allegations for possible legal pursuit and prosecution.

“If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken,” the statement added. “The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements,” the statement concluded.

In other news, Chris Brown has reportedly withdrawn his consideration from the Kids Choice Awards over the current controversy surrounding his alleged charges of assault and criminal threats against girlfriend Rihanna. The singer was up for two Kids’ Choice Awards: favorite male singer and favorite song for “Kiss Kiss.”

Rihanna also is up for two Kids Choice awards, including favorite female singer and favorite song for “Don’t Stop the Music.”

Reports Say Chris Brown & Rihanna Recording Duet

via FMQB

After the well-documented scuffle between Rihanna and Chris Brown, it looks like the pair is recording a song together. It was previously reported that Brown and Rihanna reconciled at Diddy‘s Miami Beach mansion in late February, and Brown appeared in court on March 5 on assault charges. Brown was granted a continuance in the case and his arraignment has been pushed back until April 6. In the meantime, the two are reportedly in an L.A. studio with producer Polow Da Don working on a new track. Brown is hoping to include the duet on his new album, which is due out later this year. “They’ve been working on it together,” a source told E! News.

Meanwhile, both artists are apparently working on separate material for their own solo albums. One of the producers reportedly working with Rihanna, Adonis Shropshire (Mariah Carey, Usher, Beyonce) told that so far the recording sessions have been relatively light for the 21-year-old singer. [Report]: Hundreds of Students Abused by Chicago Public School Staff

via BET

According to a report by Chicago TV station CBS 2, since 2003, out of the 818 reports of abuse, 568 were investigated and proven to be true.

One alleged victim, elementary school student Treveon Martin, says he was hit with a belt by a teacher. “He’s threatened almost all the kids in his classroom,” he said. “He holded my arms and he picked my body up, and then he just slammed me on the desk,” Martin said. treveonmartin

Across the system, other reports included accusations from some students saying they were beaten with broomsticks, yard sticks, and staplers. Others were allegedly pushed down stairs and one sub allegedly fractured a student’s neck, the station found. Corporal punishment is illegal in the state of Illinois.

The system’s former CEO Arne Duncan, who was recently appointed U.S. Secretary of Education, told the station he had zero tolerance for such acts.

“Any founded allegation where an adult is hitting a child, hitting a student – they’re going to be gone,” he said. However, of the 568 cases that were proven true, just 24 people were fired.

City Council Education Committee Alderman Pat O’Connor says the allegations were never brought to his committee until recently, but wants officials to take another look at the cases and how they were handled. Continue reading
