Robert Downey Speaks on His Controversial Role in ‘Black Face’

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – When Robert Downey Jr. put on dark make-up for film comedy “Tropic Thunder,” the actor ventured into the racially charged territory of blackface, an old showbiz convention that is no laughing matter.

Downey said he initially worried that his portrayal of a white actor playing a black man could hurt his career, and he bristled at being given what he thought would be the most controversial role in the film directed by Ben Stiller. Continue reading

Robert Downey Jr. Plays Black Man in Stiller Film

Robert Downey Jr, who is set to play Iron Man this summer, has caused a bunch of controversey not related to the soon to be blockbuster comic book flick. Robert who has keep his drug demons at bay for the last few years, has decided along with the blessing of Ben Stiller to portray a black man in the film Tropic Thunder.

The film is causing debate on all sides of the politically correct racial lines we are now threading(especially with a great black senator ahead in the race for democratic presidential nominee).

 In the this pic, I myself was fooled into believing this was an actual brother.Though the film will not be released until August we will see if public ridicule will let this film see the light of day.
