Twitter user @POPSspotsports has come forward with some interesting pictures and recollections from his encounter with Baltimore activist Joseph Kent last night. This young man was not only peaceful, he was assisting police and also acted as a mediator between them and the protesters. This is someone who was clearly not anti-police, not a ‘thug’, not provocative, not inciting riots, etc.
Spike speaks on race in America, social media’s role in uprisings across the world, and his thoughts on police brutality.
Director Spike Lee on race in America: “If you’re African-American in this country, you know what the deal is.” Fusion’s Jorge Ramos spoke to Lee about his latest documentary “I Can’t Breathe,” problems with the NYPD, race in America and the impact of social media on his projects. What do you think?
This has nothing to with whether or not you agree with the clashes with the police in Ferguson, this is about the Fox News troll’s (Steve Harrigan) statement that the dignified protesters have left perpetuates that the voices of these young men are to be ignored. If they were treated in this systematic racist society and felt their lives mattered in this country would they be out there rioting? Once again Fox News proves they along with the media in general are just as much as the problem as the officer who killed Mike Brown.
Bill O’ Reilly spars with Russell Simmons over Beyonce and proclaims she makes “exploitative garbage”. Wait to till he sees Rihanna’s ‘Pour It Up’ video, he might just have another one of his nuclear meltdowns on camera. Seriously Bill seems to be so late on these type of things, shit he should see some of the stuff Madonna did a 100 years ago and he might just have a heart attack. The ironic thing is this is the same guy who paid off a woman who accused him of sexual harassment at the workplace a number of years ago, and any time he goes on these tangents none of his guests ever bring it up. Instead of it being constructive interview about Russell’s new book ‘Success Through Stillness’, he masterfully spinned it to a conversation about Beyonce and had Russell on his heels once again. Though O’ Reilly proclaimed never to speak on his sexual harassment suit again, I would bet a dollar to a doughnut he is still that pervert, and knows every lyric to “Partition”.
I have never liked pompous know-it-all Bill O’ Reilly. In fact I have despised him since I initially heard him speak on Fox News on critical issues destroying the black community.
With that being said, though my feeling for him and his racist rhetoric has not changed in the least, I agree with him and his stance on how to truly make President Obama’s “My Brothers Keepers” program effective. In order to reach the millions of at risk urban youth in this country, we definitely need serious involvement of today’s high profile rappers and athletes. These guys are heroes to our kids and look up to them as role models whether we like it or not.
Though O’ Reilly has a point, he conveniently forgets to acknowledge systematic racism, post traumatic slavery disorder, and a host of other unavoidable contributing factors when discussing the plight of the black community, which makes his cure all inadequate at best.
Chuurch. I guess by ‘stuff’ he means the government doing their job for the less fortunate who have been disenfranchised in this country.
Sounds like bullshit to me. Where was Bill O’ Reilly when Wesley Snipes was going through heavy tax problems? Now that he said the government should not be able to tax half of your income a bunch of people will now jump on this bandwagon when there has been discussion of this for decades by those with much less money and political clout. Hit the jump to hear some audio of him speaking on the issue.
The three headed monster.
“…They think I am an idiot…”. No Bill nobody thinks you are an idiot, we all know you are an idiot.

“I don’t want to have to interrupt Sarah Palin or Barack Obama or anybody,” he said. “I asked Sarah Palin a direct question. [She] didn’t answer it.” Wallace agreed, and said he was interrupting guests more because they were increasingly relying on talking points instead of answering his questions. More here..
Damn the sign almost won. It is the truth though do your research, he settled out of court for millions for sexually harassing some reporter over the phone a few years back.
Yeah these two are still talking.

“The folks who hate you don’t know you. They hate some fun house image of you that’s out there.” Obama refrained from suggesting that Fox is a maker of that fun house image, but one imagines he may have been directing that response to some of its viewers.
Are we surprised? I guess nobody remembers a few years back when Bill O Reilly was sexually harassing one of his producers on the phone and quietly settled out of court. Anyway check out one of his idiot producers asking some foreign policy questions to the least politically aware person in the world Snooki, who I believe voted for John McCain and we all know how that worked out.
I tend to agree with Keith and probably most of the country does at well, but we have a bunch a people who live and die by the racist propaganda Fox News spews every night, go figure. Hit the jump to see some more tweets from the MSNBC star:
Juan Williams is a boot licking sellout and has some nerve saying this statement and I am glad he got canned. Video courtesy of Buzzfeed.
Juan Williams, fired by NPR today for honestly expressing his fear of scary Muslims in our nation’s skies, has now responded publicly, saying that his remark was “not a bigoted statement,” and faulting NPR for firing him without even letting him speak to them in person about it. (NPR says in a memo that it’s had “many conversations and warnings over the years” with Williams about his public statements). Also Bill O’Reilly is now leaping to Williams’ defense and calling for funding cuts for NPR, which is the official new talking point on this, apparently. Juan Williams’ future as a heroic favorite at Fox News is suddenly very clear.
Update: Shouts to Stephanie Stouffer for sending this analysis of this publicity stunt by The View and Bill O’ Reilly that worked to a tee as evidenced by what is discussed in this video.

Jon Stewart visits Bill O’ Reilly to slam Fox News. Part 2 after the jump.
Did anyone actually think he would do anything else besides protect his cash cows?

2009 was a record year for the Fox News Channel.
The News Corp-owned cable news outlet has just finished its best year among total viewers in its 13-plus year history.
On the program level, Fox News took the top 10 programs in cable news for the year. “The O’Reilly Factor” again took first place and registered its highest viewers numbers ever, averaging 3.329 million total viewers (up 14% from 2008) and 801,000 A25-54 viewers (up 28%). “Hannity” came in second with an average of 2.502 million total viewers (up 14%) and 654,000 A25-54 viewers (up 22%), also its highest numbers ever in both categories. “Glenn Beck” placed third with 2.320 million total viewers (up 91%) and 581,000 A25-54 viewers (up 135%).
Now he can say it was an honest mistake but his history tells me otherwise.
Saw this and literally had a mild heart attack. Anyway I guess they are trying to be fair and balanced. SMH.
The a holes need to be shot.
O’Reilly: Barack Obama, is he the devil?
Dobbs: He’s not the devil, but he is certainly the man who is not making it easy to understand why he is making the public policy choices that he is. There has to be a better understanding from and can only from his expression to the American people, what is taking so long for his decision on Afghanistan. Why is it so necessary to turn 1/6th of the economy into the United States government, which has not showered itself with glory.
O’Reilly: So you don’t think he’s Satan, but you think he’s mismanaging the country at this point.
Dobbs: I think, absolutely.
O’Reilly: OK, sorry I put words in your mouth.
Dobbs: No, I was excited. It was a pretty good choice.
I am not too into this Acorn story but Fox News definitely is, and this supposed filmmaker donned an old school ‘pimp’ costume to talk about his alleged discovery of corruption within the organization. SMH.
Come on people did we really not know this joker is green with envy that we have President Obama in office. But his idiocy has relegated any potentil political office to some backwater towns that loves his hate spewing rhetoric on FOX News.

This is guy is truly a nut, he is constantly stoking the furnace of racism and basically this rant is him actually revealing his own hatred for Black people. What a joke!
(CNN) — The Twitter accounts of President-elect Barack Obama, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez, Britney Spears, Fox News and 29 others were hacked Monday according to the microblog site, leading to false and inappropriate messages being posted on their accounts.
First Fox News Twitter followers read a false message about Bill O’Reilly’s sexuality Monday morning after hackers launched several attacks.
Then came the attack on pop princess Britney Spears private parts.
CNN anchor Rick Sanchez, who uses Twitter on his TV show to interact with the audience, also fell victim to the scam, when a hacker posted about drugs on his account.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed for real.
NEW YORK (AP) –
Barack Obama, the presidential candidate Keith Olbermann championed this fall, just won a four-year term. So, too, has Olbermann.
MSNBC announced Monday that Olbermann, its headlining prime-time star, has signed on to continue hosting “Countdown” each weeknight at 8 o’clock EST. MSNBC essentially tore up an existing contract Olbermann had, adding a year and a half and more money. (Exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.)
It’s also four more years of cable television’s most sizzling rivalry. Fox News Channel said last month that Bill O’Reilly, whose show airs opposite Olbermann’s, had also agreed to a new four-year contract.
Olbermann’s fans made him a folk hero during the campaign for his sharp-tongued criticism of John McCain and President Bush. The size of his audience has more than doubled, from an average of 776,000 in October 2007 to nearly 2.2 million this October, according to Nielsen Media Research. O’Reilly’s audience hovered around 4 million a night in October 2008. (But the two were much more competitive among the 25-to-54 age demographic; Olbermann beat his rival seven nights in October in that category.)
MSNBC has built its prime time in Olbermann’s image, hiring Rachel Maddow—a frequent Olbermann guest—for a successful 9 p.m. show. (Olbermann’s telecast is repeated each weeknight at 10.)
MSNBC said Olbermann will continue to play a major role in coverage of big news events. MSNBC installed him as a co-anchor with Chris Matthews during the primary campaign, but later switched him to a commentator role.
Lil’ O’ Reilly goes upstairs on Barney Frank. Hilarious!
Boy this has been some week for Fox News. As reported here earlier this week dip sh*t radio and television host Sean Hannity was given a brand new radio syndication worth upwards of $100 million. Moveon.org and rap artist Nas stood together and protested the constant smear campaign by Fox News of presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama.
Now we have more leakage from former press secretary Scott McClellan that the Bush White House controlled the talking points of Fox News hosts such as the aforementioned Sean Hannity and Bill O’ Reilly amongst others. In addition Scott says that Fox News was basically their propaganda machine they used to spread their lies and agenda. Are we surprised?
Here is the much talked about footage of Jesse Jackson talking about Barack Obama. Truthfully Fox News did not have to air this footage because it was in between taping and just goes to show you how low they will stoop to get ratings and cause divison. Watch and make up your own mind:

We in the real world know that Bill O’ Reilly is a certified asshole, which is probably why he has such high ratings on cable television. The analogy “The Guy Love You To Hate” comes to mind often when discussing him and his outrageous views on America and life in general.
Check out this vintage clip of him when he was a desk anchor for Inside Edition and watch him blow his top at producers at the end of the taping of the show. Classic asshole being an asshole.
