Update: WatchLoud.com snapped a screenshot of a Facebook post from Kayla Duckworth, who is alleged to be Kendrick Lamar’s sister, revealing that some type of collab IS on the way in February 2016.
Black Friday 2015 just got a little more interesting. Kendrick and Cole just took the Internet by storm with the release of two brand new remixes that have each MC going in over the other’s fan-favorite singles (“Tale of Two Citiez” and “Alright,” respectively).
Stream both songs below:
With the long-awaited release of Jay Rock’s sophomore album “90059” drawing closer, Top Dawg decided to liberate the visuals for the Black Hippy posse cut, “Vice City.” I would highly recommend anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered the album yet to go ahead and do so. You won’t be disappointed.
Nothing can stop a message that needs to be heard. As many examples of literature have shown since the 20th century, not even prison. In the 21st century, however, the platforms from which prison literature can reach the People has expanded into the world of technology. Penned, recorded and filmed inside of his cell at an undisclosed Level 4 prison in California, Lil’ Spank’s “Black August” attests to this new power at prisoners’ disposal.
Here is some more info on the video from it’s YouTube descritption:
To commemorate Black August 2015, Lil Spank Booty and MaeJAH League concocted a visual experience that functions as both a music video for his new single “Black August,” as well as a collage of hundreds of years of Black history.
“Sity By Da Border” mixtape coming soon!

Spank is currently serving a 37 year bid on trumped up charges for armed robbery and multiple accounts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Is this 1963 or 2015? My thoughts and condolences go out to the victims and all those affected by this tragedy. More to come as the story develops.
UPDATE: Multiple sources are reporting there were nine fatalities.
(CNN)Several people were killed in a shooting at an historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, a source close to the investigation told CNN.
The shooter is still at large.
The shooting took place Wednesday evening at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the oldest AME church in the South.
Police haven’t said how many people have been shot. But the source who spoke to CNN said several bodies were in the church that were yet to be identified.
“It’s really bad. It’s a very bad scene,” local pastor Thomas Dixon said.
“Apparently the person just entered the church and opened fire. That part has not been fully articulated on what happened yet … they are still looking for the suspect.”
Police said the suspect in the shooting is a clean-shaven white man in his 20s, with a slender build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots.
When this story was first brought to my attention, all I could think of was how incredible it was that a man could spend four decades in isolation unbroken while maintaining his innocence. He endured arguably the worst punishment that can possibly be inflicted on an inmate by the prison system and will ultimately come out on top. Salute to you, Albert Woodfox. Your story is/will be an inspiration to many. Never let them break you.
Albert Woodfox, the last of three high-profile Louisiana prisoners known as the Angola Three, could walk free within days after a federal judge ordered state officials to release him immediately.
U.S. District Judge James Brady, the judge overseeing the closely watched human rights case, said Monday that the 68-year-old former Black Panther Party prison leader should be granted immediate freedom and not be tried again in the death of a prison guard stabbed to death during prison upheavals in 1972.
Brady, who presided over the case from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, ordered Woodfox’s unconditional release in a strongly worded ruling.
“The only just remedy is an unconditional writ of habeas corpus barring retrial of Mr. Albert Woodfox and releasing Mr. Woodfox from custody immediately,” Brady wrote.
The Dark Skin Activist Rashida Strober slams Power 105.1 radio jock Charlemagne for his idiotic oxymoronic statements that ‘white nubian’ queens were in. This is all not surprising coming from a man who recently bleached his skin after being teased mercilessly by the public at large for dark spots on his face. Colorism is a serious issue in the black community and I commend Rashida for having the cojones to tackle this issue head on.

Word is starting to spread like wildfire across social media that the Nation of Islam has had a hand in forging a truce between long-time rival gangs the Bloods and the Crips in Baltimore. According to a recent report by CounterCurrentNews:
Reports among members indicate that members of the Nation of Islam organization brokered the truce, much the same as happened in Los Angeles two decades ago.
“I can say with honesty those brothers demonstrated they can be united for a common good,” Carlos Muhammad, a minister at Nation of Islam’s Mosque No. 6 said.
“At the rally, they made the call that they must be united on that day. It should be commended,” he continued.
“We can unite and stop killing one another, and the Bloods and the Crips can help rebuild their community,” Muhammad said in an interview with theThe Daily Beast.
A community organizer, DeRay McKesson, confirmed the ceasefire between the groups.
“The fight against police brutality has united people in many ways that we have not seen regularly, and that’s really powerful,” McKesson said.
“The reality is, police have been terrorizing black people as far back as we can remember. It will take all of us coming together to change a corrupt system,” he added.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake acknowledged the peace-brokering efforts of the Nation of Islam, singling them out specifically for helping to stop the violence in the community.
This is not the only information that has surfaced, however. An e-mail from the Baltimore Police Department that seems to be a response to this truce states that the alliance is a ‘credible threat’ to law enforcement agencies and they are told to take necessary precautions. The e-mail also states that the Black Guerilla Family has joined up with the Bloods & Crips, and various posts on social media claim GD’s are standing in solidarity as well. It appears these groups are not a threat when they are a divided and warring against each other, just when they unite and decide to take a stand against police brutality.

What is Nikon’s agenda here? Not really sure how this relates to selling cameras and why Nikon chose this particular family outside of the fact that their pics posted a year or so ago caused a shit storm online.
This video shows that Snoop’s instagram joke towards Iggy was even more insensitive to Albinos which was totaly lost in the the controversy.
When Rosamere Fernanda de Andrade first held her newborn baby she assumed there had been a mix up. Rosamere and ex-husband, Joao, are both black – but their daughter, Ruth, had white skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. But it was no mistake – Ruth, suffers from a rare generic condition called albinism and has no skin pigment. Since then Rosamere, 31, has had two more albino children as well as three black kids. So stark is the difference between Rosamere and three of her children, she is often mistaken for their nanny. The condition is characterised by the absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes – which leaves sufferers exposed to a range of afflictions. The youngsters are so sensitive to sunlight that they need factor 100 sun block every two hours – and only allowed to play outdoors at night.
Bill Maher stupidly jumps up to defend Paula Deen for the outrage caused by her use of the n-word and racial jokes. I have also thrown in her apology as well for good measure.
Maher joins Dr. Boyce Watkins, who in an appearance on CNN’s AC360 argued that Deen’s age and environment should be taken into account when judging her; Maher also joins Roland Martin who argued that Black people should be just as upset when other Black people use the n-word as racist White people.
As previously reported by NewsOne, Deen was fired Friday afternoon by the Food Network. They released the following statement:
“Food Network will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.”
Deen was supposed to make an appearance on the ‘Today’ show Friday morning and have a no holds barred interview with Matt Lauer, but she cancelled at the last minute.
I enjoyed Hunger Games and since I didn’t read the book at the beginning of the film I hoped that I could find a few people that looked like me in this imagined future. I was pleased to find that some of the films key actors were black and the film was more diverse than I initially expected. I guess some people didn’t get the same joy out of that diversity.

After being visually assaulted with repeated repeats of Flavor of Love Family Reunion I’m still scratching my head and asking why did Flav pass up on this? Candace “Black” Cabrera’s was the hood’s candidate, we was all rooting for babydoll. I mean I’m all for the “black” family and all and it was admirable to see Flav keeping it funky with his babymoms but I mean c’mon homie, you could’ve at least picked this over ‘Thing Thing.’ Flav, you get the GAS FACE of ’08. Say it ain’t so…a recent poll by New America Media has revealed that most American “minorities” mistrust one another more than they mistrust “white” Americans. In this classic case of divide and conquer, Hispanics and Asians are afraid of Blacks who they claim are responsible for most crime, while Blacks and Hispanics ain’t feeling Asians because they treat them with little respect whenever they patronize Asian establishments. The poll says Blacks take exception with Hispanics because they’re displacing them from available work while the “Man” is in the cut laughing his ass off at all of them. Hispanics and Asians claim that Blacks are bitter because they’ve missed the boat in regards to the “American Dream” while they all agree that things would be more balanced if minorities were more active in roles of power.
