[video] Rowdy Rebel Gives Update on Case, says Epic Records not responsible for their Bail

I am glad that he owned up and took responsibility concerning their present indictment and incarceration and took the onus off of Epic Records to bail them out. Over the last year we have heard people including 50 Cent, and Dr. Boyce Watkins call on LA Reid to bail out Bobby Shmurda. LA Reid on a recent Rap Radar podcast explained why he could not bail out Bobby and he was pretty much slammed after the fact. The audio of his recent interview with Revolt TV is kinda muddy so I am posting the transcript below:

“It’s a waiting process right now,” Rowdy said, “My spirits are good, I ain’t letting nothing drag me down or what God has planned for me. It’s all in God’s hands.”

Maintaining the music behind bars, he goes on to add, “Only update I got right now, is that I’m about to drop a mixtape since I know the streets have been waiting. Its’ called Shmoney Keeps Calling, and even though I’m locked out that shit keeps calling me.”

And as far as Epic’s defense, he commented, “I didn’t expect Epic to get us out, because at the end of the day we’re not the best of friends, they just signed us to their company. They don’t feel the pain that my family and friends feel, but on the business side, they did invest in us. They don’t really owe us nothing.”

Dr. Boyce Watkins gives his take on LA Reid’s recent comments about not being able to bail out out Bobby Shmurda.

Reid recently told the Rap Radar podcast, via Vibe, “It made me feel like people don’t know anything about my business. It’s really not their business. That’s the truth about it. We’re not elected officials here, and we’re not at liberty to disclose how we do business.”
