Richard Gere joins “Brooklyn’s Finest” Cast…

Richard Gere has joined the cast of “Brooklyn’s Finest”. As reported here, the script originates from a former toll worker who struck Hollywood gold after entering a contest.

“Brooklyn’s Finest” revolves around three unconnected Brooklyn cops who wind up at the same deadly location, despite vastly different career paths. One has gone undercover to crack drug gangs; another has engaged in graft and corruption; while another has played by the rules and put in his time on the force up until his retirement.

Antoine Fuqua will direct the film, which also stars Don Cheadle and Ethan Hawke.

Michael Martin penned the screenplay. Basil Iwanyk and Mary Viola are producing.

Don Cheadle set to star in Brooklyn Finest

Staten Island toll worker Michael Martin, may have just struck Hollywood gold wit a script called “Brooklyn’s Finest” a gritty urban drama about NYC cops.

Martin entered a script writing competition after breaking some bones in a car accident and looked to use the money to buy a new car. Well it seems that script did more than just insure him a new car.

After floating around in Hollywood and garnering alot of big name attention and it has landed all all star cast will be directed by “Training Day” director Antoine Fuqua. Strike that one in the column for the little guy with big ideas.
