[video] Did Future write “Drunk in Love ?” (Performs Unreleased Track “Good Morning” at SXSW )

Based on what he says before he performs it, he had something major to do with the interpolation medley of this song which magically turned into Beyonce’s hit record “Drunk in Love”. I could see Beyonce hearing the original song falling in ‘love’ with it and it being rewritten for her. This is the music industry people and this type of sh*t happens everyday. Beyonce Plays Cop in New Video “I Am A Boy”, Steals Concept from Ciara’s “Like A Boy”?

This clip is pretty short but shows Beyonce dressed as a cop in her video “I Am A Boy’ . I am guessing that she has gone butch in this video, but my question is didn’t Ciara do this same song title and concept last year from her single “Like A Boy”

Hip-Hop superstars Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Ciara, T.I., and others have come together to help promote voter awareness in an upcoming “Get Out The Vote” public service announcement set to hit Time Warner Cable next month.

According to a statement from The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), the P.S.A. explains the significance of voting and challenging viewers if their voice will be heard once the 2008 Presidential election takes place.

“Will your vote be counted” Byrd Gang’s Jim Jones asks in the P.S.A. “Vote for it.”

“Stepped on my J’s” vs. “Don’t Step on my J’s” [Nelly vs A.S.E.T]

Source : Nice Kicks
Did Nelly and Jermaine Dupri steal their song \'Stepped on My J\'z\' from Memphis group A.S.E.T ?

Biting is still wack, but stealing is even worse. After discovering this on Nice Kicks, I was forced to ask the blogosphere if this was a blatant jacking by Nelly and Jermaine Dupri of Memphis rap group A.S.E.T song called ‘Don’t Step on my J’s”. Their song “Stepped on my J’s” seems to be pretty close to A.S.E.T’s version without a doubt.

Is this another case of more powerful artists and producers using their clout to steal a concept and to use their influence to fool the public into believing this is their song?

What do you guys think?

TI To Headline Hip Hop Summit In Pennsylvania

You Don\'t Know Me

For those dying to get a glimpse of Clifford “TI” Harris he will be appearing at Temple University headlining the National Hip-Hop Summit in what appears to be his national “Good Will” tour. The event is being billed as a voter mobilization effort, a last ditch attempt to get out the vote for the upcoming Pennsylvania primary where ironically guns and god have become a hot button topic.

This primary may be the deciding factor in the Democratic contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. TI, who is no longer qualified to vote due to his prior convictions, will be delivering his messge to those who will be deciding the country’s next president.

“I personally know the value of having the right to vote and it taken away from you,” the rapper said in a statement. “But I will add my voice to help inspire others to take seriously this right and responsibility.”

The free event will be going down Sunday (4/20) at 2 p.m. at the Liacouras Center, 1776 N. Broad St. He will joined by other luminaries on the podium, such as Ciara, Russell Simmons and many others.

Go HERE for more info on the event.

In related T.I. news he is solidifying a deal to appear in Bone Deep, a Sony Screen Gems film that is about a heist that is being described as Heat means Ocean 11. I interpret this to mean that there will be heavy gunplay. Already inked to appear is Matt Dillon and Ibris Elba.
