[video] Dave Chappelle on ATCQ, Saturday Night Live, and getting booed.

The funniest man on the planet Dave Chappelle speaks exclusively to Gayle King.

After what he calls a career “detour,” comedian Dave Chappelle is making a comeback with three new Netflix specials. In a rare interview, he tells “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King about the tipping point that made him “resolute” on his “Saturday Night Live” appearance last November: SNL’s first new show after President Donald Trump was elected into office.

[video] Tyrese Responds to Gay Allegations from Spanky Hayes “Cease and Desist Your Career”

Did Tyrese ever say it didn’t happen? I think Spanky got exactly what he wanted and that if Tyrese really wanted to hurt him he would of just ignored him and not even responded if the allegations are so ludicrous. Now people will see the response video and look up the original video that sparked this in the first place. Round to Spanky.

[video] Bert Kreischer’s Hilarious ‘Tracy Morgan Story’ (Animated)

With the entertainment world and fans across the country pulling for Tracy Morgan to make a full recovery after the horrific car accident that killed his longtime writing partner, here is a classic story from Bert Kreischer  about some of his night club shenanigans. Funny thing is way back in the days after the Panthers movie premiere, I actually saw him in the club shirt off so this story is so in pocket with the legend that is Tracy Morgan. Get well soon buddy.

‘Bruno’ fashions top spot at U.S. box office

LOS ANGELES, July 12 (Reuters) – “Bruno,” British satirist Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest subversive outing, narrowly claimed the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office in North America, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday.

The “mockumentary,” in which Baron Cohen plays a gay Austrian fashion model seeking fame in the United States — sold $30.4 million worth of tickets during the three days beginning July 10, distributor Universal Pictures said.

The opening was in line with the expectations of the General Electric Co (GE.N) unit, which paid independent producer Media Rights Capital $42.5 million for distribution rights in North America and eight foreign territories. Media Rights declined to disclose the budget. Continue reading

MTV sets its sights on comedy scripts

via Breitbart

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – MTV’s next target: scripted comedy. The cable network is developing an unprecedented number of scripted half-hour projects, including an animated series and five pilots.

“We’re going to apply the same tenets of creativity and genre-busting to scripted comedy that ‘Laguna Beach’ used to make over the documentary,” MTV head of programing Tony DiSanto said. “It makes sense as a progression for us when a lot of our shows like ‘Run’s House’ and ‘The Hills’ look scripted to start going forward with actual scripted shows.”

The projects include a 20-episode series order for a new animated series, “DJ and the Fro,” that revolves around two office drones who swap viral videos while surrounded by workplace mayhem.

The network’s quintet of pilots — not all of which have closed deals — are a mix of live-action and animated projects, with three set in high school and two based on existing Web series. Continue reading

LMAO! CNN Cancels D.L. Hughley Show

via HipHopDX

Four months after his satirical approach to news coverage aired, D.L. Hughley’s CNN show, “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News” [click to read] is going off the air. Initial reports cited an unnamed inside source close to CNN who said the show was being canceled due to “budgetary constraints.”

After its initial run, the show was panned by Advertising Age and other critics, some of which compared the successful comedian to Flava Flav [click to read]. And while both the current economic climate and the initial reception to the show didn’t help, CNN states neither played a part in canceling the show.

“D.L. approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles, where his family lives,” CNN representatives stated via press release. “To accommodate this, we agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles. We are eager to continue our relationship with D.L. who is a tremendous talent and a valued colleague.”

Chris Rock on making fun of Barack Obama

via CNN

(CNN) — Chris Rock is best known for two things: being funny and being crass.

“This is what people come to see. I’m just doing my show,” the comedian said with a laugh. chris_rock_gi

He’s also known for his political commentary, but there’s one person he’s having a lot of trouble making fun of — president-elect Barack Obama.

This is apparent in his new DVD “Kill the Messenger,” which combines three shows from his international tour: New York; London, England; and Johannesburg, South Africa.

“It was a tour nobody wanted to do… because the general perception is that comedy doesn’t translate,” Rock said.

But thanks to the Internet, the world is a lot smaller than it was even 10 years ago. And people are digging the same jokes, he said, including ones about John McCain and Sarah Palin.

As the DVD readies for release on January 20, CNN talked with Rock about his lack of Obama jokes, Inauguration Day and why racism will never die. The following is an edited version of that interview:

CNN: I watched the special last night, and I noticed that you did a lot of jokes about John McCain — his age, his war hero story — but not so many about Barack Obama. Is it harder to make fun of Obama? Continue reading

maniaTV Presents: “Midnight Rida” (Knight Rider Spoof)

Hope this is funny joint cause it has one of my favorite comedies Alex Thomas in it and we don’t see him in enough stuff as it is.Sent in by the beautiful and equally as smart boss Aura (ATF).

Midnight Rida is the urban comedic spoof of the hit 80’s television show Knight Rider. A new crime syndicate is running ramped through the streets of Los Angeles and it’s up to one man and his car to bring the city back to safety. Our hero, Mitch McKnight, is a Texas transplant and the intern for a secret underground special intelligence bureau who is anxious to prove to the bosses that he’s got what it takes to become a special agent. However, the bosses don’t think of him as anything besides the little office jerk who gets them coffee in the morning.
