BREAKING NEWS: Max B. Sentenced To 75 Years

Harlem, New York rapper Max B. was sentenced to 75 years in prison today (September 3) for his role in a botched robbery that led to a double murder in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel.

Max B., born Charly Wingate, appeared in a Hackensack, New Jersey court today with co-defendant Kevin Leerdam.

Max B. and Leerdam were convicted on charges of felony murder, kidnapping and armed robbery for planning and robbing Allan Plowden and David Taylor at a Holiday Inn in September of 2006.

Taylor was shot and killed during the robbery, which was planned with Max B.’s ex-girl friend Gina Conway, who testified against the pair during their June trial.

Max B. was not happy with the situation and fired his attorney Gerald Saluti, just before the 75-year sentenced was handed down.

According to police, Juelz Santana, the rapper who’s collaborated with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Cam’ron, was arrested at his home in New Jersey — after his wife told cops he threatened to kill her!

Cops tell us they showed up at Santana’s Teaneck home around 10:30 this morning after his wife called 911.

According to law enforcement sources, Santana’s wife did not need medical assistance — but she told police the threat was made in front of a child.

The rapper was arrested on domestic charges and is still in police custody.

UPDATE: A rep for Santana tells TMZ the rapper is not married, the child present was not his son and his bail was set at $300.

Then there’s this: The rep adds, “He has problems with the people in his complex, they hate on him because he is a rapper with big cars.”

All of sudden the Dipset cuddling comes to an abrupt end. This interview is a break from previous ones where Cam states what it would take to get him and his former team back together. This time around he throws all them negroes under the bus by refusing to acknowledge that he even knows them, which is such a far stretch of the imagination but ignoring your beef is sometimes way worst than committing energy to it.

Jim Jones To Pre-Release “Pray IV Reign” Tracks

As many artists know all too well these days, leaked tracks and albums online have caused a disparaging decrease in sales. With that in mind, Dipset capo Jim Jones is looking to combat these cyber leaks with a method of his own.

Over the next month leading up to the release of his upcoming album, Pray IV Reign, Jones will be pre-releasing a handful of tracks exclusively on iTunes for purchase. His second single, “Na Na Nana Na Na,” [click to listen] has been up for download since yesterday, and “Precious” and “Frienemies” will be available March 3 and March 17 respectively.

Coined the “Countdown to ‘Pray IV Reign’,” iTunes will allow purchasing users to choose “Complete My Album” when the album is officially released, without charging for tracks already bought.

Pray IV Reign will be released in stores and online March 24 through Columbia Records.

How ironic that the same week 50 is ordering up a customized coffin for Rick Ross, Cam’ron jumps out of his casket, reincarnated. He started the week of strong with a video and social network platform that dropped out of thin air, Tuesday saw the release of the XXL cover that officially announced his return. Wednesday was his 33rd birthday, Thursday he did his first radio interview via Leo G’s Dipset Radio and here we have his first sitdown with Miss Info, which dropped today. Damn what a week!

Jim Jones Brings His Solo Act to Broadway

His cameo in the action thriller, Righteous Kill, was just the beginning of Jim Jones‘ new acting career. In this SOHH exclusive the rapper reveals his plans to star in a one-man play, talk about his upcoming appearance on the TV series, Crash and recall his recent run-ins with Brooke Shields and Dennis Hopper.

With his major label debut dropping on Columbia Records early next year and a documentary on his life in the works, Jim Jones has plans to use one more medium to tell his story. This November, the Harlem rapper will star in a one-man play, entitled Hip-Hop Monologues, in Manhattan’s theater district.

“We say it’s like a glorified listening session but it now has really turned into a musical, to a real live play,” Jones told SOHH. “It’s a one-man theatrical with characters to help me paint the picture, which is my life and things that I’ve been through.”

The performance, which will run on November 12th and 13th, features a live band and a select group of additional actors. Continue reading

Max B Latest Rapper To Be Shot?


According to Miss Info word is that ex-Dipset/Byrd Gang member Max B was shot on Wednesday in a botched robbery attempt in Long Island. Supposedly he was shot twice, treated for his wounds then he signed himself out of the hospital a la Tupac-Makaveli style, living up to his Bigavelli moniker. Although details are sketchy Info is saying she recieved a call from a women claiming to be Max B’s publicist and she varified that he was home healing, even though she described his condition as critical. Earlier Wednesday, another Arthur Kill alumni was murdered on the streets of Brooklyn, when a single shot took the life of aspiring rapper Cavlar. Could somebody tell KRS-One he needs to rush that Self Construction project ASAP!

Juelz in Court for Weed and Hollow Point Bullets


 Man it seems rappers are in danger. It is being reported by Allhiphop and the Daily News that Juelz Santana was nabbed near his home in Teaneck,NJ by police and a subsequent search of his Bentley revealed hollow point bullets and marijuana. Details are still sketchy, but the officer claimed to see his car and smelled the pungent smell of marijuana thus giving him probable cause to stop the vehicle.
