Joe Budden who has slammed L.A.Reid in previous episodes of #EverydayStruggle makes ‘sexual predator’ accusations against the record executive who abruptly left Epic Records this past week.
On today’s #EverydayStruggle, Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, and Nadeska broke down L.A. Reid’s sudden exit from Epic Records and wondered where he may end up next. Of course, Budden had his own thoughts on the situation.
Can’t wait for this to drop.
Not sure how long this link will be up.
They are not playing with William Roberts at all. Kidnapping is a serious charge that comes with hefty time. How will he finagle himself out of this one?
Ross and his bodyguard were arrested on June 24 for kidnapping, aggravated assault an aggravated battery charges in Fayette County, Georgia after the two allegedly pistol-whipped a groundskeeper who was working on his home. According to reports, the Florida rapper was having work done on his Fayette County home when he got into an altercation with one of the groundskeepers. The altercation allegedly was sparked because the groundskeeper—who lives on the property—had people over for his birthday in Ross’ house without permission the night before.
Crazy dope first single off his his new album Stoicville The Phoenix. T-Pain is definitely back for those who thought that Future had taken his spot.
The President makes his grand entrance to DJ Khaled’s “All I Do isWin” ft. T Pain at last night’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Obama Jokes About Radical Second-Term Changes
Obama used this year’s annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner to poke fun at himself and some of his political adversaries, asking if it was still possible to be brought down a peg after 4½ years as commander-in-chief.
Say what you want, but this DJ Khaled formula has worked before and it will work again with this new banger called “Welcome to My Hood”. Check out Rick Ross performing it live for the first time.

The hilarity which is the 5o CENT vs. RICK ROSS “beef” goes into its umpteenth week and as promised a new SATURDAY CARTOON has dropped and of course there’s new names being added to the hitlist. Joining Chris Brown and Rihanna as co-stars in 50’s weekly rants and spoofs is none other than T.I., Akon, Suge and the dude who gave him the bizness. And of course returing for hosting duties is DJ Khaled and Officer Riccckkkkyyyy. 50 needs to step to Cartoon Network and get a slot for these, they are ingeniously hilarious.
Rumors began swirling around over the last few months that Miami radio personality DJ Khaled was appointed president of Def Jam South, but until now those claims were never confirmed. According to MTV the gossip is true.
He was like, ‘We should bring Khaled on board. He makes hits, he has relationships.’ I got a team of producers and we go in hard. My job is to bring hits to the table and work with new artists and work with established artists. I’m bringing new energy to the game and to the building.” [Watch Below] Under the new position Khaled – who also produces under the alias Beat Novacaine -will be responsible for records by Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Ace Hood and of course Rick Ross.
The Boss’ forthcoming album, Deeper Than Rap, will be the first release under Khaled’s watch. He also A&R’d the project. While Ross is currently involved in a heated battle with rival 50 Cent, Khaled opts to stay out of the back and forth. “I don’t deal with negative energy, it’s a waste of my time and my time is valuable,” he said. “I keep negative away and stay positive.”
“At Def Jam, we promote music,” he added. “We promote hit records. That’s what I respect. I’m always going to represent the music; Rick Ross is gonna represent the music. If controversy comes with it, it comes with it. And boy, ‘Magnificent’ — Rick Ross featuring John Legend, that’s Ricky Ross’ first single — it’s a monster. It’s gonna be on and poppin’.”
Deeper Than Rap hits stores on March 24. The album will feature appearances by Nas, Mary J. Blige and Lil Wayne.
Koch Records is making DJ Khaled’s WE GLOBAL NOW FREE for streaming by CLICKING [HERE]
Very few artist have been able to do what this Miami based DJ has been consistently effective at, and that’s making hit records. This compilation is a very impressive offering from Khaled, full of features but his strength is in composing dynamic collaborations that pull the best out of the artist featured. Joe, Kanye, Pain, The Game, Nas, Ross, and even Ace Hood showed up with their ace game and delivered Khaled another certified banger.
I can see why Koch was confident to make this available to the buying public from free a week before it dropped. People will invest in quality and this album meets that mark.
The artists featured on DJ Khaled’s album We Global read like a MTV awards show performance line-up. It’s like the who’s who of famous “featuring” artists. It’s like he took anyone who ever made a song famous by rapping 8 bars or singing a chorus and got them all on his album. Lil’ Wayne. Busta Rhymes. Akon. T-Pain. Kanye. Sean Paul. Chris Brown. Crazy, right? Anyway, it’ll be in stores next week but you can listen to the full dealie right now! This time it’s DJ Khaled: featuring you.
I like this alot. Off the WE GLOBAL album coming in the fall.

Snatched from SMARTENUPNAS
According to Def Jam recording artist Rick Ross the port of Miami is the center for all distribution, well slighty. That is if you’re shopping for yayo, but if you’re shopping a project called M.I.Yayo then you have to come up north to acquire sound distribution and both the Boss Rick Ross and DJ Khaled have done that for their respective ventures. First, Ross partnered with Boston based Traffic Entertainment for distribution for his coke documentary M.I.Yayo, a gritty depiction of the affects, cause and antics of Miami street life during its billion dollar cocaine heydays. According to Traffic Ent. President Joseph Mansfield,
“Many distributors were reluctant to take a chance on a project from a rap artist that is not music related. I have full confidence that this project can carry itself via the content, it is powerful, and that is why Traffic Entertainment took the risk, now the industry will see that the higher risk the bigger the reward.”
“It is incredibly shocking, and many think Miami is South Beach, that’s it. The world wants to know the real deal and this is it with M.I.Yayo.”
Expect M.I.Yayo to be cooked up, wrapped up and ready to go on March 25th at all major retail. Check http://www.maybachmusicgroup.com for updates or to purchase. Trilla in stores soon. Riding the wave of success is DJ Khaled, Robin to Ross’ Batman who just secured a deal with Def Jam for distribution of his label, you ready yall…We The Best. So those who were begging the Miami native to retire his trademark ad-lib there is no conceivable way of escaping “We The Best” blaring out of speakers for the next couple of months. What tricks does Khaled have in is deck? Look out for the first artist Ace. Khaled had this to say,
“I’m proud to be a member of the Def Jam family. “Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip hop and music as a whole. I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music. I look forward to creating great music and continuing the success. L.A., Shakir and Lenny S are you ready? I am! Let’s go! Caaaaassssshhhhh Flooooowww!”
This dropped a little while back but it still deserves a post. This song is fire and T-Pain proves once again that he is the new go to when you need a bonafide hit. The egg heads at Def Jam better not mess up this project as they have done with the latest Def Jam releases that have performed poorly in the market place. Boss!!
Rick Ross back with another banger from his upcoming album Trilla.
