Kanye adds a verse and makes it a decent song. Radio rip from Funk Flex who debuted it last night on Hot 97. No Travis Scott but even a Pusha T verse would of made this complete. Not sure how long this will be on Youtube.
I know its been out a couple days but still had to post this and the funniest reaction I have read so far. Some creative producers have once again took his acapellas and crafted beats around it.
I don’t think I have heard a rap song played this much.. ever. At this point did they even need a video?
Yeezy Yeezy Yeezy.
This was dope.

The Apple Music exclusives just keep on coming, this time arriving in the form of the ‘Piss On Your Grave’ music video. The long time Kanye-collaborator Nabil takes the director reigns as we watch Kanye, Travis, and a masked Mos Def romp around a forest. Aligned with Kanye’s past two videos, Only One and All Day, the video takes on a minimalist approach employing a single background and no props. Trading off vicious verses and donned head-to-toe in Yeezy attire, Travis and Kanye look fierce as they threaten to piss on your grave.
The young prophet predicted this along time ago. Bow down.
Best song he has dropped in a long time.
This is what happens when you coon and buffoon and try and impress a group of people who will never like you no matter what you do.
Kanye West debuted his Adidas Originals collection last week in Manhattan, and the reviews have been decidedly mixed. But the rapper-designer’s harshest critic could be New York Fashion Week creator Fern Mallis. “I’m kind of over Kanye,” she recently told Page Six. “I mean, I’m not a fan of his music, and the attitude and the agenda is not my style.” Now West has responded to Mallis’ criticisms via Twitter – using a zen-like tone.
Steel Panther joins the parade of people (including his buddy John Legend) who have slammed Kanye West for his theatrics during The Grammys and his comments after the show.
On the heels of “Yeezy Season”, Forbes staffers Zack O’Malley Greenburg and Natalie Robehmed breakdown the sales implications of Kanye West’s recent Grammy performance, his new shoe line and a potential major tour.
Somebody get Shirley Manson on the phone.
The debate on these will rage on for a few weeks maybe longer. Don’t know about a price point yet but it well surely rise in resale because its Kanye. Hypebeasts are drooling at the mouth either way.
So after finally reuniting at the B.E.T Honors Awards a few weeks ago, Dame and Ye’ sort of announce a partnership for a new film company. We’ll just have to sit back and wait to see if they are really serious about bucking the middleman and doing it on their own.
Kendrick caught another body on this one and the beginning of the track is the same sample from Jay’s Z D.O.A(Death of Autotune). Sorry the DL link got the Funk Flex tags.
Look this post is not to judge Kid Cudi, cause I actually like one of his new songs. Let’s just be glad he was not driving and they made sure he got home safe. We also know his problems with cocaine but this looks like he had too much Coconut Ciroc.

L.A., Jay of whoever the exec is in charge up there at Def Jam/Rocafella needs to remind Ye’ that this is the flow that people love him for. When he’s making up those witty rhymes with that double bar sequence delivery, please get back to that and no mothaf*ckin’ autotune Mr. Gay Fish, thanks!

Kid Cudi, the rapper behind the hit song “Day N Nite” has finally found a label to call home. On April 15, it was announced that the Ohio-born rapper will be joining Universal Motown.
“Kid Cudi is at the vanguard of a game-changing new generation of artists,” Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone explained in a statement. “He crosses musical boundaries with an appeal that goes beyond genre, format, race, language, and culture. Cudi lives easily in the Hip Hop, Indie Rock, Pop, and R&B worlds – a diversity that shows in his innovative music and his all-embracing persona. He is a born storyteller who brings a positive, life-affirming message to his brilliant lyrical flow and compelling music. There are no clichés in what Cudi does. He is a breath of fresh air – a dynamic and important new voice, not only in the next phase of Hip Hop, but as a groundbreaking trendsetter who represents the future. I am thrilled to welcome Kid Cudi into the Universal Motown family.”
Without the assistance of any major label, Kid Cudi has managed to begin a successful career. His song “Day N Nite” has managed to stay on the Billboard charts for an impressive 96 weeks, peaking at the number seven spot on the Pop 100 chart. The song is also a Top 5 download on iTunes.
Currently, Kid Cudi is working on wrapping up his debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardian. The album is expected to be released later summer 2009. Continue reading
Yeah, according to Cam, Crime Pays but hard work pays out as well (in residuals at that!). Common has reached his apex as a rapper, is entering his plateau as an actor and these days it seems he is definitely the pitchman of choice for corporations looking to integrate with the Hip Hop dollar. While some think he is on the cusp of over saturation, I for one beg to differ. I remember the dedication he put into his craft and those checks are finally pouring in. Congrats.
After a shocking announcement of retirement, Kanye West protégé Kid Cudi has retracted his statement, saying he will not leave the rap game.
The announcement came yesterday during Cudi’s set at the South By Southwest music festival.
“You remember when Spiderman didn’t want to be Spiderman no more? Cause his personal life was so f***** up, but he was just, like, killing s*** as Spiderman…?” Cudi asked the crowd.
“I understand that I need y’all and y’all need me,” he added. “So I can’t stop.”
The statement was met with applause from the crowd.
Earlier this week, DX reported that Cudi announced he would hang up the mic to focus on his acting career [click to read].
Just two weeks after Kid Cudi signed a deal with Universal Motown to release his debut album in conjunction with G.O.O.D. Music, Man On The Moon: The Guardians, he has now announced his retirement from the rap game. His reasoning? There’s just too much drama in the music industry.
“AFTER THE RELEASE OF MY FIRST LP THIS SUMMER, IAM NOT MAKING ANY MORE SOLO ALBUMS,” Cudi said in his blog. “IAM FALLIN BACK ON BEING A ARTIST. THE DRAMA THAT COMES WITH IT IS MORE OVERWHELMING THAN THE SHIT I WAS DEALING WIT WHEN I WAS PISS POOR BROKE. MY FRIENDS GET MAD AT ME, SAY IVE CHANGED, ONE OF THE ONLY HOMIES I GOT IN THIS GAME, WALE, IS WORRIED ABOUT ME CUZ OF SHIT HE HEARS. LIKE WTF? WHO CAN SAY IM BEIN HOLLYWOOD?”
Cudi earned critical acclaim for his mixtape A Kid Named Cudi, was also featured on Kanye West’s “Welcome to Hearbreak” [click to view], and landed a number one spot on the UK charts with his single “Day ‘n’ Night.” However, Cudi explains that he is tired of dealing with “more uncalled for problems than the average human being should have to deal with.”
Kid Cudi said that he does not look at it as quitting because he’s already accomplished his goal of pleasing fans, and earning the respect of critics. Yet, if Cudi does plan to retire, it won’t be the last that fans see of him.
“IAM GOING TO FOCUS ALL MY ATTENTION ON THE HBO SHOW WHICH WE START SHOOTING IN AUGUST AND MY ACTING CAREER IN GENERAL…ILL CONTINUE TO DO SHOWS FOR THE REAL KID CUDI FANS, AND IM PLANNING A BIG CONCERT THIS SUMMER, JUS ME, AND I WILL PERFORM MY ENTIRE MIXTAPE FROM BEGINNING TO END AND NEW SONGS FROM MY ALBUM.” Continue reading

Testify” was the fourth single from rapper Common ’s 2005 album Be. The original song clocked in at just above two and a half minutes, it was the second shortest track on Be (after the albums intro). It is produced by Kanye West, whose beat heavily utilizes vocal samples from “Innocent Until Proven Guilty” by Honey Cone. A short film was directed by Anthony Mandler and produced by Boxfresh Pictures. It stars Taraji Henson, Wood Harris, Steve Harris, Kenny Burns and Kevin Black. The full length video premiered during a Making The Video segment and all subsequent airings were a scaled down to a three minute version. After the case is settled, she starts laughing and reveals that she is the criminal. 2] The song was a critical hit garnering a nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 48th Grammy Awards.
