ICE T clears rumors about “10 reasons why black men prefer to be with white women” list

So Joe Budden’s cornball twitter butt buddy wrote the list and Mediatakeout decided to pin it on Ice T. This guy is obviously searching for attention and has the nerve to slam black women when he came out out of one. If this list is true the first person he should start with is his mother.

1) White girls can get their hair wet. It’s summertime. Who wants to be at the pool with a girl who’ only concern is not getting her weave wet. White girls just jump in the pool without any care.

2) White girls don’t talk back. Put a little aggression in your voice and she will do whatever you say. That doesn’t fly with other races though. They wanna fight. Always.

3) It’s easier introducing them to your family/friends. “Everyone, this is Amber,” is WAY easier on the ears than, “Everyone, this is Shaniqua. Just saying.

[video] Star & Buc Wild: HIP HOP ANARCHY

OK, time for confessions. Every morning we wake up to Star & Buck round these parts for the uncut hilarity that they provide to a rather stale game. This though, is the first clip that we’ll be posting simply because they are echoing some integral parts of convos we’ve been having as of lately, spawning from the dustup caused by Joe Budden taking shots at Red & Meth. In particular what he says about Hip Hop having no parameters is pure genius. And more importantly stripping Russell of his erroneous title of “Godfather” when nothing Boss’d up can be attributed to him. Furthermore Bambatta is and always will be the Godfather of this, so get ya facts right.

ice_t_121-smallvia HipHopDX

Fed up with the current state of Hip Hop and what he calls “bubblegum Pop” rapper and actor Ice-T has decided to create his own digital label.

According to the New York Daily News, the Law & Order: SVU star will be launching his digital label which will be put out by EMI in the near future.

I’m starting a digital label through EMI,Ice-T explained to the Daily News. “I’m trying to get back to more Hip Hop. To me, music right now is like Disco. It’s very sing-songy, and nobody’s dealing with content. That’s what I miss. I miss Tupac and Big. You got Lupe Fiasco [click to read] and T.I. [click to read] now, but in general, we’re swamped with bubblegum Pop.

Ice-T currently has five artists from different parts of the country signed to his label.

We’ve got an artist from L.A., a group called Certified from Washington state, Born Twice from Houston, and a Korean kid from New York. I’m playing the whole map,Ice-T revealed.

In 1987, Ice-T released his first album entitled Rhyme Pays. Since the release of Rhyme Pays, Ice-T has gone on to release upwards 10 albums. In the late ’90s, he had operated a previous label, Coroner Records, where he released his 1999 Seven Deadly Sins album.  He has starred in a number of films including Breakin’ and New Jack City.

Ice-T currently stars as Odafin “Fin” Tutuola on Law & Order: SVU.

Souljah Boy Flops, Album Sells 46,000 copies…Ice T Pops Champagne!!

So it seems all of you who were up in arms when Ice T spoke on what he thought about Souljah Boy’s music and it’s effects on Hip Hop, obviously did not go out and buy his new record.

And who was the genius who put Souljah Boy up to the unrealistic commercials with him saying that he was trying to sell a million copies in a week? The AP video where he now claims to care for his young fans and won’t use terms like “superman that hoe?” The Charles Hamilton beef was even worse. Hopefully this kid has his head on straight and will rebound with another hit but chances are slimmer than his first week sales.

Teenage rapper Soulja Boy’s “ISouljaBoyTellEm” (ColliPark/Interscope) debuts at a disappointing No. 43 with 46,000; his 2007 debut, “SouljaBoyTellEm.com,” began at No. 4 with 117,000, on the strength of the No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Crank That.”

Mos Def & Rihanna Onboard for Iceberg Slim Project

via SOHH
Mos Def, Rihanna, Macy Gray, Anthony Anderson and others have come together to star in the upcoming film adaption of late writer Iceberg Slim‘s classic, Mama Black Widow.
Set in the 1930s, the plot revolves around an African-American family’s migration from the racially tense state of Mississippi to the ghetto-themed underworld of Chicago, Illinois. Focused on lead actor Brian J White‘s character, “Otis Tilson,” the story emphasizes his difficulties in trying to keep his family together as they encounter alcoholism, prostitution, sexual deviation and racial injustice.
Directed by Darren Grant, the film will also star actresses Kerry Washington and Angela Bassett.
Rapper-turned-actor Ice-T will also be paying homage to the author by producing a documentary on Slim’s rise from pimp to established novelist.
“Iceberg Slim has been one of the most influential people in black culture,” Ice-T previously told New York Post. ” Few people know the story behind the man and it’s time that story is told.”
No release dates have been announced on either production as of yet. In related news, Uproar Entertainment will be re-releasing the Slim album Reflections originally produced in 1976 by David Drozen. The disc offers listeners a poignant and memorable look at Slim’s true life experiences. Continue reading

[video] Ice-T Bucks Shots at Mims, Lil Mama and Souljah Boy Tell Em

Ice-T continues to take his campaign to the net and spew shots at his least favorite rappers. In this episode recorded in 2007 he licks shots at Mims, Lil Mama and of course, Souljah Boy prior to the fuselage he unloaded last month. This has ignited raw emotions all throughout the game with some thinking that Ice shouldn’t be leaning on the young boys and others whole heartedly agreeing with Iceberg’s position. I hope something constructive comes out of this discourse, a whole lotta bandwidth is being wasted on it!

[video] Young Buck Gets Free Milk

They’re back at it again, the same dudes that put Ice-T on ice (Broken Equipment) are giving Young Buck the business with this hilarious clip parodying his much publicized crying session taped by his boss, Curtis Jackson. As we would say over here at Street Knowledge, ‘get that man a warm bottle.’

LOL! Ice-T vs Souljah Boy Pt.4- Animated Video

The production group Broken Equipment just broke the camel’s back on this here little beef. They ethered Ice with the vintage footage of him doing the “snake.” This squabble is over with Souljah Boy winning by default. LOL. LMAO. SMH. I must admit, it was nice while it lasted but beef over, they got him on this one…it is hilarious!

[video] Round3: Ice T Responds to Souljah Boy’s Rebuttal

Ice-T returns to clean up some fire he sent Souljah Boy’s way. He didn’t renege on his feelings towards Souljah Boy’s music but he acknowledged that he misstepped when he invited the lil homie to his genitals..so he let his 16-year-old son do the honors! He also apologizes to Hurricane Chris for hitting him with a stray shot about his braids. Iceberg promises to wage a Youtube campaign against what he feels is the latest incarnation of sh*t hop.

ICE T , Law & Order Create Virtual Interrogation Room

[Source: Woohah]

In case you missed out on Street Knowledge 101 and nobody told you to keep your trap shut when the police have that glaring light shining in your face in that interrogation room and they’re trying to break you down by playing those psychological “Good Cop/Bad Cop” games, the homie Ice-T is starring in a virtual Law & Order mock interrogation to help you brush up on ya skills. Even though this might come across as a game, it feels pretty real and by the look of the last episode of DEA the fuzz seems to be flipping thugs over easy like flapjacks.
