Kudos to Felisha and the gang for this new deal with Fox Sports Network. I have seen her take this organization to new heights in the last couple of years. Her persistence with helping to grow and develop producers is unmatched in this industry, where creatives are taken advantage of everyday.
If you are an upcoming producer I suggest that you contact Dynamic Producer and become a member and learn as much as you can about the music industry. Congrats all around and hopefully they make a ton of money with Fox and bring more talented producers to the forefront. Press release below:
ATLANTA, GA (11/17/09) — Dynamic Producer has secured a major music licensing agreement for its newly formed division,Dynamic Licensing, to provide music for Fox Sports Network. Under the agreement, Dynamic Producer will become a main supplier of music synchronized with Fox Sports’ stories, features, and sports clips. In addition, Dynamic Licensing was tapped to help orchestrate the sonic makeover of FSN’s show, Final Score, a national news sports program that airs nightly. “We are very pleased with our new found relationship with Dynamic Producer. Their area of expertise is one that we’ve needed to fulfill for sometime. We look forward to cultivating this relationship,” states Jerry Davis, Music Supervisor, FOX Sports / FSN. In the fast paced world of sports broadcasting, the demand for exceptionally high quality music is insatiable. It takes a firm with access to a continuous supply of excellent music to meet that demand. “This is an exciting moment for us as it puts us one step closer to helping producers realize their potential and monetize their passion for music. Equally, we look forward to providing FSN with a superior quality of music to accompany their programming,” states Felisha Booker, Founder, Dynamic Producer/Dynamic Licensing.

I BEEN RIDING WITH BARACK SINCE DAY 1. I’M ALL ABOUT THE CHANGE AND EVERYTHING HE TALKS ABOUT. BUT I DO HAVE A QUESTION AND I’M NOT SURE THE ANSWER IS YES? DOES HE KNOW HOW BAD IT’S GONNA BE IN THE STREETS BY THE SUMMER IF THINGS DON’T CHANGE? YOU KNOW USUALLY WHEN THINGS HAPPEN IT’S ALWAYS SOMEBODY IN THE HOOD SAYING THAT SHIT AIN’T COMING OVER HERE. Jermaine Dupri x TAG Records. When Jermaine Dupri was booted from his job at Def Jam earlier this year, there were rumors that Dupri’s deal with TAG Records was in jeopardy as well. Fortunately for Dupri, the Def Jam and TAG Body Spray collaboration was arranged as a separate deal and Dupri kept his job as President of TAG Records…for the time being.
The bottom line though is TAG Records is not doing so hot. Rumored reports are coming in from Proctor & Gamble (TAG Body spray owners) that due to a combination of the economic downturn and the lack of buzz surrounding TAG Record’s initial artist Q Da Kid, P&G budgets will tighten up in future media buys and promotions with TAG Records. Rumor also has it that Def Jam has plans to phase out Dupri’s involvement with TAG Records as well. In a January interview with Essence, Dupri stated the following about his future relationship with TAG and Def Jam:
I don’t know what’s going to happen and that’s the saddest part in dealing with these situations. They try to keep the group to hurt the person who brought these artists to them. The truth is, I can always find another artist but the artist can not find another me. I have to be in a forward motion. One of my biggest focuses is that if you want to do new things you can’t do old things. I can’t be around people that don’t motivate and that’s what happened: a slow motion of people living off checks with no excitement. I’m into excitement. Continue reading

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The doctor has again ordered Janet Jackson to postpone a return to her “Rock Witchu” tour. Jackson was scheduled to resume her tour Monday night at the Turning Stone Resort in New York after canceling a show over the weekend in Connecticut. A message posted on the resort and casino’s Web site stated the show had been canceled at the advice of Jackson’s doctor.
She has since postponed several shows, including Thursday night’s show at Madison Square Garden in New York. Promoters say the dates will be rescheduled.
No one is saying what is ailing Jackson, who was rushed to a hospital in Montreal before a concert in late September.
Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.
She told you to call her Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty, and now you have the footage to see that side of Janet that apparently only Mr. Dupri has been privy to. Well, damn Janet when sales get low is this how far you go? I’m not hating I’m just saying you waited your whole life to tweak your freak bone? She could’ve been moved in on Madonna’s fan base if this is what she’s working with.

After three years doing business in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, Jermaine Dupri’s Cafe Dupri has closed it’s doors “indefinitely.”
According to reports, Dupri cites the poor US economy as the reason the business failed to thrive.
“The economy has changed dramatically and people just aren’t eating out as much anymore,” Dupri said. “People are cutting back everywhere and a lot of companies, including Cafe Dupri are feeling the affect. For the past two months business at the Cafe has been down and if the business isn’t making money, I feel it’s a smart move to shut it down. Bottom line: if it doesn’t make money, it doesn’t make sense.” Continue reading
This is a good look for my dude Q, let me give you some back history:
It’s been a long time coming for the homie Q The Kid. As the first artist signed to Jermaine Dupri’s joint venture with TAG deodorant to form TAG Records, Q has finally broken through. The Flatbush, Brooklyn
native originally entered into the game in the late 90’s with the group The Franchise. This group consisted of three individuals known as Gravy and Red Cafe. As both of them are poised to make their splash on the world, Red with an album that is slated to be released this fall via Konvict Music and Gravy just wrapped filming his debut acting role as Brooklyn’s BIGGEST legend, Mr. B.I.G., please say the baby, baby. So this is truly a testament that the grind is extensive for an upcoming New York artist. Nobody deserves it more than Q.
DJ Kay Slay, when he’s not smacking your favorite DJ, he’s busy addressing what he feels is a rise in attacks on the validity of the DJ. The victim of his vitriol this round is Jermaine Dupri who made headlines last week when he posted a clip online proclaiming that the DJ IS DEAD! Maybe this wasn’t the best time to express those sentiments, being that his words may have gotten caught up in the crossfire between DJ’s far-and-wide defending their honor against comments made by Lil Wayne, inviting DJ’s to his nether regions. Well, Slay took the opportunity to take Dupri to school and proclaim that the executive is the one on life support. He noted that Janet’s various flops have JD’s fingerprints on them. Who’s to blame? The DJ?? He also noted some suspicious activities taking place in the board rooms as reasons why executive’s were slipping and losing grip on their corporate responsibilities. Its always hilarious to hear Slay unleash a can of whoop-ass on anyone so peep this:

Biting is still wack, but stealing is even worse. After discovering this on Nice Kicks, I was forced to ask the blogosphere if this was a blatant jacking by Nelly and Jermaine Dupri of Memphis rap group A.S.E.T song called ‘Don’t Step on my J’s”. Their song “Stepped on my J’s” seems to be pretty close to A.S.E.T’s version without a doubt.
Is this another case of more powerful artists and producers using their clout to steal a concept and to use their influence to fool the public into believing this is their song?
What do you guys think?

Music mogul Jermaine Dupri has found his next superstar on the internet and hopes to capitalize on a groundswell of support online.
Under the name Phatfffat, Dondria Nicole has garnered hundreds of thousands of viral views of her singing on video platforms like YouTube and her appeal prompted the veteran producer to sign her.
“The fans are getting the whole album in two months. I’m giving them access to the entire process of making the album,” Dupri said in a post on his blog for The Huffington Post.
“We’re showing everybody how we get down in the studio. I’m posting raw, uncut video on YouTube that keeps the audience involved in her life and expands on what she already started. The people who follow her are investing their time and sending messages and feedback on the music by the thousands. They care about what she does next.”
Jermaine Dupri has just announced the formation of TAG Records, a joint venture between Island Def Jam and Procter & Gamble’s TAG Body Spray. TAG Body Spray? Yeah, you know Dupri’s is Mr. Young, Fly & Fresh to Death so to assure that fresh smell why not form a label with a body spray company? There is no artist signed to this label as of yet but Dupri promises that they’ll get the biggest push of any artist to date. Mr. Dupri will be named president of this label. There will be a lot of cross branding, artist placement in commercials for the brand and different unique forms of exposure. It appears as if labels are taking note and following in the footsteps of recent joint mergers like Madonna’s brand with Live Nation, or their recent partnership with Jay-Z.
“Today, we make history in the music industry with TAG Records,” said Jermaine Dupri, president of TAG Records. “This label is going to provide new artists with a chance of a lifetime. New artists will receive ten times the typical marketing support – a first in the industry. I’m hand selecting and molding these artists to make history in hip hop.”
