Fresh off of his victory at the Garden (115-105), Kobe Bryant made a very special appearance at the House of Hoops, showcasing his latest shoe – the Nike Zoom Kobe 5. He arrived at approximately 11:00pm through the back exit of the store surrounded several security guards. The crowd went crazy as soon as Kobe walked in. Strangely enough, the person interviewing him was no other than Nick Cannon. Kobe was asked several questions about the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 and its inspiration and technical specifications. (AP Summary) – Michael Jordan, maybe the greatest of them all, is taking his place alongside basketball’s other greats. Jordan was being enshrined in the Hall of Fame tonight, an honor that follows all the championship rings and MVP trophies he collected during his career. He joins David Robinson and John Stockton, a pair of his 1992 Dream Team teammates, and coaches Jerry Sloan and C. Vivian Stringer in a distinguished class.

“It all started with that little round ball. I think if you take that away from any of us, I’m pretty sure we would have struggled in life, because that’s how much the game meant to us,” Jordan said. The enshrinement ceremony took place at Springfield’s Symphony Hall, because Jordan was too big for the Hall of Fame. The move to the other building allowed for a crowd of about 2,600, more than double what the Hall can accommodate.

Breaking News: Shaq goes for ring with Lebron in Cleveland

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns have come to an agreement on a blockbuster trade that sends Shaquille O’Neal to Cleveland to team with LeBron James, according to sources.

The deal has been agreed to in principle and is expected to be finalized Thursday, according to sources.

Cleveland will send Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic to Phoenix for the future Hall of Famer. Sources said the Suns will also receive the 46th pick in Thursday’s NBA draft and $500,000.

The trade gives the Cavs a player they’ve coveted since February. With center Zydrunas Ilgauskas starting to break down, adding Shaq to the roster gives them a dominant force in the middle. The Cavs were obviously unhappy with their ability to defend Dwight Howard in the playoffs and bringing Shaq into the fold should help.

The Cavaliers were also in talks with New Orleans about obtaining Tyson Chandler. If they had not made the trade for O’Neal, they would have traded for Chandler, according to a source.

The Cavs felt O’Neal was the better option because he has just one year left on his contract, and will not eat up cap space that will enable them to pursue free agents such as Chris Bosh in next summer’s star-studded free agent class. Chandler, who has had injury problems the past two postseasons, has a player option for $12.7 million in 2010-2011 that he is likely to pick up.

Shaq has made alotta money over the years and with so much talk about the financial, and real estate  markets, is he about to take a lost for this property he so famously showed off on MTV Cribs ?

Shaquille O’Neal has re-listed his Miami Beach estate for $25 million.

Shaq was at one point seeking $35 million for the 19,000 sq. ft. estate, which has been on and off the market since 2005. The home sits on two acres in Miami’s exclusive Star Island community.

The Phoenix Suns star bought the home while he was playing for the Miami Heat in 2004, for 18.8 million. Fellow athlete Alex Rodriguez was slated to buy the property in 2007 before his (now ex-) wife waffled, and a prospective buyer in November backed out after making a $19 million offer.

The listing advertises a gym, indoor racquetball court, tennis court, infinity pool with swim-up bar, and 300 feet of waterfront space along Biscayne Bay, in addition to a two bedroom guest apartment.

CHICAGO — Fans began lining up at 6 a.m. Saturday for a chance to snag free tickets to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” season premiere featuring 150 U.S. Olympic athletes.

By noon, the line of Winfrey fans and U.S. Olympic supporters stretched nearly six city blocks in Chicago’s Millennium Park. The show will air Sept. 8 and include appearances by gold medalists Michael Phelps, Nastia Liukin and Kobe Bryant.

Tickets for the Winfrey’s tapings are usually available only by phone and nearly impossible to get, so fans were itching for the 2,000 seats up for grabs for Wednesday’s taping.

Bryant is focusing his energies on bringing home the gold medal from China, where he is looked upon as an iconic figure.
