Dipset fans rejoice. With a bunch of new projects dropping and officially reuniting with his Dipset brethen, Cam’ron seeks to get back to being on top. With recent runway appearances rocking designer capes with his sexy wifey Juju and hints of dropping a sneaker on instagram, Cam is fast making moves back in the fashion space which he along with Jim jones, and Juelz Santana firmly put their stamp on a decade ago. With mentor Dame Dash back in the fold full time, they have joined with Karmaloop to drop Dipset USA clothing. Feels like 2002 all over again? I say until he pulls out the pink fur and Range Rover the story is not complete. Dipset, DipSet, Dipset!!

Special Report: Where is the $420 Billion Dollars Given to Black Churches?

I would like to commend the people over at Livesteez for doing this very important story because it needs to be addressed in the worst way. Where has all the money gone given to Black Churches since forever?

This is not a shot at churches who do good work in the community this is aimed those Pastors who have private jets and vacation in St. Tropez with Bey-Z. Check out an excerpt from their investigative story and make sure you visit their site and give some feedback.

LiveSteez research shows that Black churches, in aggregate, have collected more than $420 billion in tithes and donations since 1980. With a Senate investigation into the finances of several mega churches

underway, the “Prosperity Movement” has been the target of mounting criticism from inside and outside the Black Church. Specifically, the affluent ministries of The Reverend Creflo Dollar, Bishop Eddie Long

and others have drawn the attention – and ire – of some clergy and laypeople alike.

Researcher Henry E. Felder’s study of Blacks’ donation habits demonstrated per capita spending of $508 per year in 2009 dollars. Another source, Tyler Media Services, estimated that Black Church revenue

approached $17 billion in 2006.

One church, the Reverend Dollar’s World Changers, reported $69 million in 2006 income, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Mainstream politicians and Black community leaders are demanding a better accounting of the “return on investment” offered by churches to the communities that fund them. Meanwhile, legions of faithful

churchgoers defend their pastors and accuse their detractors of applying a double standard that ignores the largesse of wealthy, white televangelists, while underplaying the economic development and social service functions provided by the Black Church.

“The church has gotten caught up in materialism and greed, a lifestyle. Many ministers today want to live like celebrities and they want to be treated like celebrities. In other words, instead of the church standing with the community, the church has become self-serving. It has strayed away from its mission” according to Dr.Love Henry Whelchel, professor of church history at The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta.

[audio] Cam’Ron Ft Mase & B Rossi- Get It

Hip Hop is like Bizarro World with no guards at the gate, so as a result anything goes these days. WTF is Mase doing back in the game talking restless? This dude was just on the podium pushing Matthew and Luke down people’s throats, what is he doing talking materialism? This game holds no one responsible for their shenanigans so now we gotta put up with Mase and Cam’Ron reunions, wack ones at that.

[video] Former Bad Boy Loon Converts to ISLAM

via IceDot

First Mase became a born again Christian and now his protege from Mase’s Harlem World group [view] and former Bad Boy artist Loon has become a Muslim complete with a full beard, kufi and Islamic garb. I can respect it but wouldn’t it be funny if Cam’ron followed this up and became a Mormon or some shit? And speaking of Cam, being that Jim Jones is the self proclaimed kufi smacker and him and Loon have exchanged words [view] I think that term will take on a whole new meaning. – ICE

[video] AROUND THE WORLD- Puff & Mase [ThrowBack]

I stumbled on this and was reminded of what made Puff great when he was at the top of his game.  And that was the ability to capture life at its most festive moments and then create a genre of video making that was similar to cinema to project it. He had the honor of initially setting off these CINEMATIC big budget videos by launching the career of B.I.G. with both “JUICY” and “WARNING” videos, his very first, culminating with “HYPNOTISE”  his very last. The latter being the pinaccle of BIG BUDGET productions, but definitely worthy of every penny.  They are both CERTIFIED classics.

He was working with a winning formula when he had Ma$e playing the ROBIN to Puffy’s DARK KNIGHT.  He has never had chemistry with another rapper of this caliber since Frank White himself.  So shout out to Puff for really having the vision to THINK BIG and for that foresight he can always say I AM KING.
