[video] Donald Trump: There has to be some form of punishment for women who have abortions

Trump has sorta back tracked on these comments but we all know he meant what he said when talking to Chris Matthews.

Women who get abortions should receive “some form of punishment,” Republican front-runner Donald Trump said on Wednesday. The comments came in a heated exchange with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews during the taping of a town hall in Wisconsin, which holds its primary next week. “There has to be some form of punishment,” Trump told Matthews in the exchange over whether abortion should be banned. Pressed by Matthews on the nature of that punishment, Trump responded: “I haven’t determined what the punishment should be.” He also suggested that women could continue to receive abortions, but at “illegal places.”

[video] Prisoners Riot In Response to Alleged Officer Abuse

Plies brother with the commentary. I keep thinking he was gonna say it was ‘going down at the Ritz Carlton’. Holman is a well known prison that has been featured for years on MSNBC’s “Locked Up”. No details on the fallout since these skirmishes.

– Allegedly responding to their mistreatment, prisoners in at the Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, about 50 miles north of Mobile, began to riot early Saturday morning. Early reports indicate that a correctional officer was stabbed 9 times and the warden, at least once Friday night which led to the riots. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

He spoke the gospel in this interview. Whether you are a regular church goer or not his makes some extremely valid points that will probably be dismissed by the majority but sorry folks it is true.

[video]MSNBC ends its relationship with Keith Olbermann (Updated with Final Farewell)

The rocky relationship with MSNBC has finally come to an end according to NY Times. Let the bidding war begin? Well we at least know he is not going to FOX. I could see him going back to ESPN in a second.

via NY Times

In a statement, MSNBC said, “the last broadcast of ‘Countdown with Keith Olbermann’ will be this evening.”

Keith Olbermann, the highest-rated host on MSNBC, announced abruptly on the air Friday night that he is leaving “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” immediately.

Raymond Joseph, Haitian Ambassador to the U.S addresses Limbaugh, Robertson

via Huff Post

Raymond Joseph, Haitian Ambassador to the U.S., began his appearance on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show by shaming Robertson and pointing out that Haiti’s freedom led to freedom across Latin America. And they weren’t they only beneficiaries from those historic events. “The U.S. was able to gain the Louisianna Territory for $15 million,” Joseph added. “That’s three cents an acre. That’s 13 states west of the Mississippi that the Haitian slaves’ revolt in Haiti provided America.”

[video] Obama says police acted ‘stupidly’ in Professor Gates arrest

I am so glad he took a stance on the issue because a lot of prominent Black politicians have folded when faced with questions of Police Brutality.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Full Transcript of his answer:

Well, I should say at the outset that Skip Gates is a friend, so I may be a little bias ed here. I don’t know all the facts. What’s been reported, though, is that the guy forgot his keys. He jimmied his way to get into the house. There was a report called into the police station that there might be a burglary taking place. so far so good. Right? I mean, if I was trying to jigger in — well, I guess this is my house now so it probably wouldn’t happen. Let’s say my old house in Chicago. here I’d get shot. But so far so good. They’re reporting, the police are doing what they should. There’s a call. They go investigate what happens. My understanding is at that point Professor Gates is already in his house. The police officer comes in. I’m sure there’s some exchange of words but my understanding is that Professor Gates then shows his I.D. to show that this is his house. And at that point he gets arrested for disorderly conduct, charges which are later dropped. Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts what role race played in that, but I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry. Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. And that’s just a fact.

MSNBC Guest Says Clinton “Blowjob” On Live TV

Did not know MSNBC was a family -oriented channel?

via HuffPost

Marcy Wheeler of FireDogLake, appeared on MSNBC Monday to argue for an investigation of secret C.I.A. operations under President Bush. But all of the post-segment discussion focused on her use of the word “blow job”, which drew an apology from the anchors.

Wheeler was responding to Townhall’s Matt Lewis, who argued that looking backwards and “investigating policies and activities that happened in a previous administration” would set a bad precedent.

“[Y]our idea is that after investigating Bill Clinton for a blow job for like five years, we shouldn’t investigate the huge, grossly illegal things that were done under the past administration, only because Alberto Gonzales was too much in the back pocket of Dick Cheney to do it while he was still in office,” Wheeler said. “That’s ridiculous.”

After the segment ended, the Tamron Hall and David Shuster expanded on her “passionate” choice of words.

“I’m sure she apologizes for that choice of words, she’s very passionate about it,” said Hall.

David Shuster chimed in: “We all say things sometimes when we’re passionate that we don’t intend, and especially on a dayside family-oriented cable television news network.”

“I’m sure she apologizes, and we do, too,” concluded Hall.

4 More Years for Olbermann

picture-18

NEW YORK (AP) –
Barack Obama, the presidential candidate Keith Olbermann championed this fall, just won a four-year term. So, too, has Olbermann.

MSNBC announced Monday that Olbermann, its headlining prime-time star, has signed on to continue hosting “Countdown” each weeknight at 8 o’clock EST. MSNBC essentially tore up an existing contract Olbermann had, adding a year and a half and more money. (Exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.)

It’s also four more years of cable television’s most sizzling rivalry. Fox News Channel said last month that Bill O’Reilly, whose show airs opposite Olbermann’s, had also agreed to a new four-year contract.

Olbermann’s fans made him a folk hero during the campaign for his sharp-tongued criticism of John McCain and President Bush. The size of his audience has more than doubled, from an average of 776,000 in October 2007 to nearly 2.2 million this October, according to Nielsen Media Research. O’Reilly’s audience hovered around 4 million a night in October 2008. (But the two were much more competitive among the 25-to-54 age demographic; Olbermann beat his rival seven nights in October in that category.)

MSNBC has built its prime time in Olbermann’s image, hiring Rachel Maddow—a frequent Olbermann guest—for a successful 9 p.m. show. (Olbermann’s telecast is repeated each weeknight at 10.)

MSNBC said Olbermann will continue to play a major role in coverage of big news events. MSNBC installed him as a co-anchor with Chris Matthews during the primary campaign, but later switched him to a commentator role.

MSNBC says Obama is the Democratic Nominee..

[Above: MSNBC’s Tim Russert says that Barack Obama is the nominee.]

Last night proved a mighty blow to the campaign of Hillary Clinton who needed really big wins last night to “keep hope alive.”
Sen. Barack Obama trounced Hillary in North Carolina and is keeping it to razor thin close margin in Indiana, so most political bundits have said what we have been saying since Super Tuesday. Sen. Barack Obama is the Democratic Nominee!!!

The Politricks of Politics- A Street Knowledge Editorial

tv-logo.jpg

On the eve of the Year of the Rat, I smell a rat.  I can’t help but notice the systematic blackout of the “surge” being waged by Camp Obama.  The same media outlets who claim that Democrats are ignoring the Bush Administrations success in their Iraqi surge, have decided to stop reporting on the historic, monumental advancements of the Obama campaign.  In less than a week Obama has closed the gap on Hillary Clinton to become tied in some polls and in others he has taken the lead but news reports not only neglect to report this but they have spun the story to read that Hillary has caught up to him as if she was the one trailing!  Now I can’t help but note had this been a white candidate there would have been a teleprompter interrupting the Super Bowl to chat up the sportsmanlike comparisons of such a formidable opponent as Barack Obama and the obvious comparisons to the underdog Giants coming from behind to rattle the crowd favorite Patriots.  And just like the pundits seemed to have count all of their eggs before they hatched in regards to the Patriots taking it home they seem to have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar in regards to Hillary taking the Big Game.  Now Big Media doesn’t seem to know how to handle the spectacle of Obama possibly stealing the nomination.  After Tuesday’s landslide South Carolina victory, it was predicted that Hillary had a 25-40% lead on Obama.  Not only does the USA Today, Wall Street Journal & The Suffolk University poll have Obama ahead but he acquired endorsements from Caroline Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, MoveOn.org, Stevie Wonder, Maria Shriver and La Opinion, the country’s largest Spanish newspaper.  The talking heads said in order to contend on Super Tuesday in markets like California where the Hispanic populace holds the keys to victory he would need something gigantic like this.  Well, after pulling it off you would think this would be front page news wouldn’t you?  Nope.  What began as a love affair is now turning into a public grimace as the Media realizes there may be a possibility of one of politics major upsets.  Is it racism, favoritism, elitism?  Irregardless of the outcome, it remains incumbent upon the news to report the entirety of the story through a fair and balanced lens.  When they start doing the opposite in the eyes of the public then they no longer serve the public’s interests and they should be replaced or erased.  Turn off channel zero!
