New Balance 575 - Maple Madness Pack

Earlier today, we saw a new colorway one of Nike’s outdoor sneakers, and we now have our first look at the Maple Madness Pack from New Balance. This pack consists of two pairs of the 575 model. The first pair yields a yellow/black-white color scheme, while the second style yields a green upper with black and white accents. Both variations of the 575 host real camouflage imagery on the mid-panel and toecap in order to further the outdoors feel of the sneaker. The New Balance Maple Madness Pack is expected to hit NB retailers in the coming months.

The Nike Air Yeezy seems to be receiving the most attention right now; however, it is not the only unique, glow-in-the-dark shoe set to drop soon. On April 4th, 2009, this New Balance MT576S BAMBOO RAKE will be available at Mita.

This particular sneaker is the product of a collaboration between New Balance, Mita and creative collective FRAT. It combines the 576 upper and the midsole of the infamous MT580. Other unique feature include an imprinted Shi-mei-nawa rope design and a bamboo rake motif on the tongue. Supposedly, this motif represents good fortune. Last but not least, it also possesses a glow-in-the-dark Ying & Yang symbol in representation of ‘day and night’ to the FRAT collective. Via Hypebeast.

Atmos & New Balance Collabo for M576 Holograms

Lets see if kids camp outside of Atmos like they do up the block out front of House of Hoops in anticipation of these new releases.

via Hypebeast

Never one to shy away from a liberal design ethos, Japanese sneaker boutique atmos has been the benefactor of numerous collaborations over the years including many with Japanese-favorite New Balance. Despite a shift away from brighter styles over the past few seasons, atmos keeps things well… decidedly atmos with these upcoming M576 Holograms. With an upper done up in iridescent/holographic black patent leather, the whole shoe features many different colors with elements such as the logo, tongue tag, lace holes and midsole all done in different colors. The liner and insole also features a rainbow treatment with a rarely seen stylized New Balance logo on the heels. Available for pre-order with a release date set for September 11th.

“How many kids know of the Pigeon Dunk but have never actually seen them with their own two eyes?…”
-jeffstaple

The almost mythical pigeon derived from the minds over at Staple Design is set for a comeback, three years after its Nike SB Dunk Low’s release sparked wide-spread chaos and panic amidst the streets of New York. This time around, jeffstaple and crew look to New Balance’s trail runner the 575 as the cornerstone of their latest sneaker inspiration. In an in-depth interview with Sneaker Freaker, some pressing issues are featured including what reactions are expected out of the Nike camp as well as jeffstaple’s reasoning behind reliving some a historic shoe which he mentions changed the face of the sneaker world. For the shoe itself, the color placement is actually quite similar to the original SB Dunk including the what reactions are expected out of the Nike camp as well as jeffstaple’s reasoning behind reliving some a historic shoe which he mentions changed the face of the sneaker world. For the shoe itself, the color placement is actually quite similar to the original SB Dunk including the pigeon-foot orange seen on the lining and sole. Also seen is a new embroidery on the heel featuring a flying pigeon to go alongside the original standing pigeon. Following up on Staple Design’s recent involvement with Lomo, a Pigeon-colored Lomo camera will also release. Singapore has already announced an August 6th release at Leftfoot Singapore and Le Vault.

New Balance A14 576 “Coffee Beans”

Source : Hypebeast

Although conceptually driven footwear has hit a low point over the last year, the New Balance A14 576 exemplifies the solid workings of what concepts can do for a sneaker. The 576 references an unlikely source of inspiration in coffee beans to create the colorway. The upper is comprised of hemp and cork with a printed insole and painted ‘N’ logo. Slated for a release in August of 2008.
