[video] Stephen A. Smith Slams NFL for Colin Kaepernick Being Fined For Using ‘N-Word’

I have a love/hate relationship with Stephen A. Smith, with that being said, when he is hitting on all cylinders with his commentary on real issues in the sports world, I give him the proper credit he deserves and today happens to be one of those days. Here he speaks on Colin Kaepernick being fine for allegedly using the n-word during a game.

Kanye West Allegedly Assaults 18-Year-Old Who Screamed to Kim Kardashian, “NIGGER LOVER”

Screen Shot 2014-01-13 at 7.03.18 PMThe Kardashian Curse continues. At this point why wouldn’t you move someplace else to have some peace of mind? If you hate the paparazzi so much you would hightail somewhere where you could live in peace no?

via TMZ

Kanye West just attacked an 18-year-old guy inside the waiting room of a chiropractor’s office … TMZ has learned.

Kanye and Kim were in Beverly Hills when they were swarmed by photogs.  We’re told the 18-year-old came to Kim’s rescue and held the door of a medical building open so she could get in.  As Kim walked, the guy allegedly said, “F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs”” — referring to the paparazzi.  Kim then told him it was not appropriate to use the N-word.  We’re told he then screamed at her, “F**k you bitch.  Just trying to help you.  Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut.”

[video] Bill Maher Defends Paula Deen

Bill Maher stupidly jumps up to defend Paula Deen for the outrage caused by her use of the n-word and racial jokes.  I have also thrown in her apology as well for good measure.

via Newsone

Maher joins Dr. Boyce Watkins, who in an appearance on CNN’s AC360 argued that Deen’s age and environment should be taken into account when judging her; Maher also joins Roland Martin who argued that Black people should be just as upset when other Black people use the n-word as racist White people.

As previously reported by NewsOne, Deen was fired Friday afternoon by the Food Network. They released the following statement:

“Food Network will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.”

Deen was supposed to make an appearance on the ‘Today’ show Friday morning and have a no holds barred interview with Matt Lauer, but she cancelled at the last minute.

PAULA DEEN’s Racist Rant from SEXUAL and RACIAL Discrimination Lawsuit from former Employee

With her having a brother named “Bubba”, I can definitely see her saying this with no problem.

Here’s the unedited, jaw-dropping passage from the lawsuit against Paula Deen that’s been getting so much attention. Lisa Jackson, a former employee of Paula Deen Enterprises, is suing Deen and her brother, Earl “Bubba” Hiers, for multiple instances of workplace discrimination, both sexual and racial. This is an alleged exchange from the lawsuit in which Jackson is asking Paula Deen what kind of wedding she would like to see for her brother. WARNING: N-word.

[video] ALF Says ‘The N-Word’ Repeatedly on Sitcom Set (4:38 into the Video)

Okay for all you newbies, ALF was a very popular sitcom back in the ancient 80’s, about a wise crackin alien who somehow ends up at suburban home and plenty of jokes ensue. What we did not know as evidenced by this footage is that he was also a racist who dropped the N-Word repeatedly during the taping of his show. Paul Futsco you have been exposed. Hit the jump to see the madness:

[audio] Dr. Laura’s N-Word Rant, ‘Nigger, Nigger, Nigger’

My question is why would you call a Dr. Laura and expect a decent and logical answer from her. This idiot believes that since President Obama has been elected that racism has suddenly disappeared. She berated the caller and never looked at things from her side of the story. Who gave this chick a radio show anyway?

Vodpod videos no longer available.
Dr. Laura Schlessinger has apologized after a shocking rant on her radio show this week during which she said the n-word 11 times over the course of five minutes.

In conversation Tuesday with a black female caller who was complaining about her white husband’s racist friends and their use of the word, Schlessinger said:

[photo] Roseanne Barr dresses up as Hitler and makes burn’t ‘Jew Cookies’

The firestorm is definitely on its way. Can we compare this to the use of the word  nigga in Hip Hop?

via Heeb Magazine

Picture 10

“When you meet her, it’s best if you don’t try to shake her hand,” Roseanne Barr’s makeup artist and longtime friend warns me. “She doesn’t like to be touched by strangers.” OK, no sweaty handshakes. Fair enough. But there’s more. “If you get nervous around Roseanne, try not to show it. She’s like a shark. If she smells fear, she’ll tear you apart,” the makeup artist says.

As I wait for Barr to arrive, I contemplate the pop culture folklore that surrounds her: the alleged multiple personality disorder, the roller coaster relationship with Tom Arnold—which culminated in a bitter divorce—the theory (her own) that she may in fact be the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, whom she has requested to be dressed as for her Heeb photo shoot. “Nervous” doesn’t begin to describe my feelings about meeting this 5’4” Jewish grandmother.

[video] Nas at Hammerstein-STREET KNOWLEDGE ARCHIVE

There’s alot of chatter online about Nas’ show the other night at the Hammerstein. I regret to say we missed that one, but we were there last year to the day to capture the QueensBridge MC at his finest. And just like he did for Friday’s show, Busta Rhymes came out last year and declared Mr. Jones as the illest spitter to clutch a mic device. We got the footage, check it out…here goes out of STREET KNOWLEDGE’S archive. If anyone got any clear footage from the other night, holla at us!!

Nas’ “Untitled” Album on Pace to Be Number One

via Billboard

Nas’ new Def Jam album may not have a title, but it will have a home at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. The veteran rapper is on course to notch his fifth topper on the big chart, as he leads Nielsen SoundScan‘s Friday Building chart with 113,000 copies.

That total represents un-weighted sales at nine leading music merchants, through close of business Thursday. Those accounts — Trans World Entertainment, Apple, Best Buy, Circuit City, Borders, Starbucks, Target, Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Co. — account for about 80% of the U.S. album market. Anderson now services all Wal-Mart stores.

Nas’ interim total is a tad behind the 116,000 that another rapper, Rick Ross, rang on “Trilla” on the Friday Building chart in March, on the album’s way to a chart-topping total of 198,000.

The artist’s last No. 1 album, “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” arrived in late December 2006, selling 354,000 copies during Christmas week.

[video] Argument About “N” Word Makes Host Break Down on The View

[redlasso id=”c786f936-2ff9-412a-bc4a-3794137b0f7b”]

There they go with that damn word again. The “N” word has found itself in the middle of another debacle, this time played out on national television between Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselback who broke down in tears when trying to explain why she feels the word needs to put out of it’s misery.

The View co-host found themselves grappling to find a common ground, with Whoopi informing Elisabeth that they are from two separate worlds, so there are ‘things’ and customs that may be foreign to her limited understanding. Elisabeth, having a kumbaya moment, asked what needs to be done to bridge those worlds so a more concrete understanding could be forged.

Then she got super emo and broke down and shed some crocodile tears. At this point, Barbara shut sh*t down but I’m sure they’re rehearsing part two right now for tomorrow’s show. Damn, that Nasir…talk about perfect timing.

Did the Good Reverend Drop the “N” Bomb Also? Fox News Says Yes

Things are just going from sloppy to messy for Jesse Jackson these days.  In addition to the startling remarks he made about wanting to castrate Barack Obama, Fox News is also reporting that he was overheard saying he was disturbed that Obama was telling “n*ggas how to behave.”  Even though the context of how he referenced these latest remarks isn’t clear, Fox has manipulated it’s transcripts to make Jesse sound like a hypocrite.  Remember he was the first one to condemn Nas for his planned use of that “word” for his album title.  Now the good reverend is caught dropping the “N” bomb, again calling into question his media savvy and whether or not his facility to make proper judgment is still intact.  Everyone who knows Mr. Jackson said he should have known better, especially in a hostile environment like Fox News studios.  Oh well, the saying goes ‘loose lips sink ships’ and ‘what a tangled web we weave.’  By time this is over they’ll be a retirement community for Civil Rights era reverend’s sent to pasture making way for a new crop of politicized ‘men of the clothe’ created via Obama’s reintroduction of Faith Based Initiatives.  CLICK [HERE] for more of this story.

ALIFE X NaS Collaborative Tee & Lighter

Note: I had to fight through hell & highwater to get mine (they was trying to convince brothers that mediums and smalls was a good look) but god is good.  Shout out to Shari for pulling SKM in.

via Hypebeast

To commemorate the release of NaS’ new album on Tuesday, July 15th 2008, ALIFE has come together with the rapper himself to produce a wicked collaborative T-shirt and lighter set. Here’s the catch, only 100 packs of these have been made, and sold exclusively at ALIFE NYC on the day the album is released. For more details on the drop, visit www.alifenyc.com.

Nas Debuts “Be A NIGGER Too” Cinematic Video [pic gallery]

Nas Is Coming

STREET KNOWLEDGE was in the house last night for the debut of Nas’ “Be A Nigger Too” cinematic video. Directed by Rik Cordero and starring the multiple antics of Ephraim “Fetti” Benton and supporting cast (Danny Hoch, John Cho, Gbenga Akinnagbe) the controversial clip to the controversial first single off of the controversial album formerly known as “Nigger” is sure to have editors up at BET and MTV on the edge of their seats. Cordero borrowed from the theme first explored in Spike Lee‘s 25th Hour, positioning Nas in front of a mirror a la Ed Norton where he goes in on himself, painting everyone as NIGGERS with one fell swoosh. The cinematic effects were captivating and the hanging scene will have viewers gasping in disbelief.

Niggardly Nas: URB Magazine Interview

Be a N*gger Too

Nasir Jones continues his media campaign for The Album Formerly Known as N*gger. This is an URB magzine interview which raises some interesting questions about the controversial topic that won’t seem to go away

“I can understand if they were talking to a certain artist who just makes stupid music all the day long, you know, that doesn’t really say anything, but I try to say some shit. I definitely know it’s a hell of a responsibility when I have an older generation of fans. I’m trying to be clear what I mean in the music. I’m definitely trying to have that responsibility but at the same time, this is my way of strapping up my bombs and committing a so-called terrorist act against an enemy that has been evil to my people, your people, whoever. This is all I can do. I’m not a wicked man; I can’t strap up a bomb and do that shit. But with my music, this is how I fight. It’s my therapy. So, let me be, let me say what I wanna say. That’s all I’m saying.”

Nas Does About-Face, Changes Title of Album To “Nas”

No More Nigger

via EW

A representative for Def Jam has confirmed to EW.com that hip-hop artist Nas has made an eleventh-hour decision to change the title of his new album from N—– to simply Nas. The Queens rapper sparked a heated debate last fall when he announced the provocative title for his upcoming ninth record, but last October, Island Def Jam Music Group chair Antonio “L.A.” Reid publicly denied widespread reports that label execs were uncomfortable with his decision. “We stand firmly behind and beside our artists with pride and with pleasure,” Reid told MTV News at the time. “Anything Nas wants to do, I completely stand beside him.”

But in an interview with MTV News last week, Nas suggested that he was facing renewed pressure: “Everybody is trying to stop the title…. Record stores are gonna have a problem in this day and time selling a record with that title. Who knows what’s gonna turn out and be on that title? Who knows what that title will be?” The politically-charged self-titled CD is due in stores July 1. For more of Nas’ thoughts on his new music, check EW’s summer music preview coverage in print on Friday.
