Jack Davis for Western Journalism reports, After a private meeting with billionaire investor Warren Buffett in Omaha, Neb., former President Barack Obama arrived in California’s Silicon Valley on Sunday for meetings with tech leaders. There were no public comments made by either Obama or the leaders he met with, as at least one news account dubbed the meetings part of the “shadow presidency.”

Astonishingly this video was posted back in Aug 29, 2015. There are bunch of theories on whether or not Matt Groening and his crew predicted a Trump Presidency and they have spoken out to set the record straight.

Earlier this year Simpsons writer Dan Greaney ex­­plained why they had “predicted” a Trump presidency back in 2000 .

“It was a warning to America,” he said. “That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was consistent with the vision of America going insane.

“What we needed was for Lisa to have problems beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that’s why we had Trump be president before her.”

 

Show creator Matt Groening said last month: “Back in 2000 Trump was, of course, the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time and that’s still true. It’s beyond satire.”

Trump was mocked in another episode of The Simpsons in 2015, aired after he announced he was running for president. Trumptastic Voy­­age had him on an escalator with Homer Simpson – mimicking the real entrance he made to announce his candidacy with wife Melania.

Trump was later accused of hiring actors to cheer for him. So The Simpsons showed onlookers holding PAID signs among VOTE placards. Homer is seen pondering Trump’s “gravity-defying comb-over” and wondering: “If I touch it, will it heal my baldness?”

The House and Senate voted to override President Obama’s veto of JASTA, the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, which will allow 9/11 victims and families to sue Saudi Arabia for the 2001 terror attacks. Obama criticized the lawmakers, saying the bill’s passage could expose U.S. troops and diplomats to legal retaliation overseas. NBC’s Andrea Mitchell reports for TODAY from the White House.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Chicago hit a deadly milestone with its 500th recorded homicide of the year. According to The Chicago Tribune, the Windy City has now logged more homicides than New York City and Los Angeles combined in 2016 and is on pace to reach a homicide level that has not been seen for over 20 years. According to a police spokesman, of the 512 homicides in 2016 tallied by the Tribune, 488 fell under the jurisdiction of the Chicago Police Department. The last time Chicago exceeded 480 murders in a year was in 2003, when there were 601.

On August 15, General Michael Hayden, the former head of the CIA and NSA, said Donald Trump has “autocrat envy.” Hayden was one of 50 officials from past Republican administrations who signed a letter labeling Donald Trump a risk to America’s “national security and well-being.”

So you can randomly jump over the White House gate and not get shot and black kids across the country getting shot with their hands up, buying candy, and playing rap music.

According to reports, a man made it over the White House fence today before he was taken down by a U.S.S.S. dog. Although reports say the Secret Service responded quickly, video from the incident shows the man was not immediately surrounded.

The man managed to kick one dog and repeatedly punch and wrestle another dog before Secret Service agents ultimately subdued him.
