Still trying to wrap my head around Affleck playing Batman after three great movies with Christian Bale. Looks dope tho and should be a massive hit regardless of how good the movie is.
Looks epic. Basically this is the dream team of movie making involved with the re-booting the vaunted Superman franchise. Will generate major bucks at the box office.
From Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures comes “Man of Steel”, starring Henry Cavill, directed by Zach Snyder. The film also stars Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Henry Lennix, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne.
I am gonna just gonna jump out the window and say that this dude needs serious help.

Herbert Chavez, a 35-year old Filipino pageant trainer, has since 1995 undergone a whole host of surgeries to make him more closely resemble the Man of Steel. According to a RealSelf.com translation of a news report out of the Philippines, he has admitted to a nose job, chin augmentation — for that iconic cleft, silicone lip injections and, of course, thigh implants.

“Man of Steel” is the new Superman saga directed by Zack Synder and CNN Blogs that the movie “boasts an all-star cast,” including Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner — all announced by Warner Bros. today.

It’s one of the highest prices ever paid for a comic book, a likely testament to the volume’s rarity and its excellent condition, said , co-owner of the auction site ComicConnect.com and its sister dealership, Metropolis Collectibles.
The winning bid for the 1938 edition of No. 1, which features Superman lifting a car on its cover, was submitted Friday evening by John Dolmayan, drummer for the rock band System of a Down, according to managers at ComicConnect.com.
Dolmayan, who is also a dealer of rare comic books, said he acquired the Superman comic on behalf of a client he declined to identify.
Dolmayan said the client has “a small collection, but everything he has is incredible.”
Only about 100 copies of Action Comics No. 1 are known to exist and they seldom come up for sale.
“Maybe in a booming economy, it would have done a hundred grand more, but in this economy, I think the price is great,” Fishler said.
The man who had previously owned the book purchased it in a secondhand store in the early 1950s when he was nine years old.
He paid 35 cents.

The only thing better than living in New York, is being at a party in New York. I was out on the town this past Monday night with my partners in crime El Mayimbe and Ron Henriques at the special WATCHMEN presentation that was scheduled for a hand full of media outlets. The footage we watched to me was very good. It had its moments. I definitely believe just like SIN CITY, you will either love it or hate it. I loved the opening sequence explaining the creation and the rise of the Minutemen, which quite frankly blew me away! It was that good. And honestly while I’ve never read the book, I must say I was inspired to immediately go out and buy one just so I am up to speed.
Anyhow, the real action didn’t happen inside the screening, but rather outside of it. While mingling around with guest and watching my partner in crime sneak food into his Latin pockets, I saw the one and only Paul Levitz, the President of DC Comics. I walked over to him and had a moment to hang out and chat with him briefly. I could not keep my mouth shut and had to ask the questions that Latino readers are asking. So I went in straight for the kill.
“So Paul, what the fuck is happening with Superman?” Well not in those words actually. Paul looked over both shoulders like he was about to score some basura and said that things are still brewing.
TOKYO, June 20 (Reuters) – After taking on the big and small screens, comic book heroes like Spiderman and Superman may soon be appearing on an even smaller screen — your mobile phone.
Suit-clad businessmen reading comic books are a common sight on Japanese trains, but they could soon be poring over their phones with publishers increasingly digitalizing their comics to cash in on the country’s mobile-savvy consumers.
The July 11 launch of Apple Inc’s APPL.O iPhone could also spur the growth of the mobile comic market as the device’s touch-screen would make it easier and more appealing to read comics on handsets, analysts say.
Word of advice Souljah Boy…hurry up with a follow-up hit, this is the only way to silence your detractors.

Forbe’s Magazine just released their forecast on the brightest 10 New Stars on the horizon and you guessed it, the web assisted phenom known as Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em was at the top of this chart also. Forbe Magazine took note that Soulja Boy utilized the new platform of marketing music via the web to garner a hit that exploded on radio, the “old-way” of doing things. It is understood that the next megastar is going to have to brilliantly synergize both platforms to transcend what is being seen as a diminishing music industry. Sean Kingston came in second, cited for his monstrous summer hit “Beautiful Girls” which garnerned Kingston a spot in America’s living rooms by appealing to Grandmothers and Grandchildren alike.
