Kid Cudi Welcomed To Universal, Gets Label Of His Own

Kid Cudi, the rapper behind the hit song “Day N Nite” has finally found a label to call home. On April 15, it was announced that the Ohio-born rapper will be joining Universal Motown.

Without the assistance of any major label, Kid Cudi has managed to begin a successful career. His song “Day N Nite” has managed to stay on the Billboard charts for an impressive 96 weeks, peaking at the number seven spot on the Pop 100 chart. The song is also a Top 5 download on iTunes.

Currently, Kid Cudi is working on wrapping up his debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardian. The album is expected to be released later summer 2009. Continue reading
