Serena Williams deletes sexy Twitter background after online backlash

You guys know I love me some Serena, but I do think this pic was a bit too sexy for a Twitter background. She made a mistake people get off her back and the stalker dude was bugging out way before this so to try and connect this is stupid. Check out some criticism below:

‘It’s a sexy photo, she looks great and it’s not pornographic. To be honest, I would actually find it to be somewhat artistic if it weren’t for the serious business of stalking women,’ Greg Couch of The Sporting News wrote.
‘What was her message anyway? What was she trying to say? Just this: Look at me. Instead, what she was saying was this: Peep at me, but don’t stalk me. Huh?
‘Someone must have gotten to her and suggested something about common sense and hypocrisy.’

The tennis star was forced to remove a half-naked picture of herself hours after she used it as her avatar Twitter, amid online outcry.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Serena Williams fought off 10 set points to prevail in the greatest duel yet with sister Venus, a heart-stopping 7-6 7-6 victory that put her in the U.S. Open semi-finals Wednesday.

Played with uncommon ferocity and passion from both combatants, Serena emerged triumphant in the grueling two hour 25 minute battle to reach the final four at Flushing Meadows for the first time since her 2002 win.

The eight-times grand slam winner turned away two set points in the first 8-6 tiebreaker and eight more in the second set, including four in the final 9-7 tiebreak, which ended with a Venus forehand drive landing beyond the baseline.

“I can’t believe I won,” Serena said courtside. “Wow”

Tennis Star Serena Williams Does Miami Beach(Pics)

These are some pics of Serena enjoying herself down in Miami Beach. She just finished carving another historic moment into her illustrious career by defeating Jelena Jankovic to win her fifth Sony Ericsson Open title, tying Steffi Graf for the number one spot for most women’s singles titles won at Key Biscayne. After her match she had this to say:

“I love Steffi Graf. She’s a great champion and was my role model…I feel like all I want to do is play tennis.”
