Ya’ll ready to boycott ABC ironically the same network who black audiences support in droves with the shows Blackish, Scandal,HTGAWM, and Grey’s Anatomy have solidly stood by Raven-Symone aka the most hated black woman in America after the tremendous backlash she has received for recent comments. I am also adding an interview her father did with Your Black World after her comments about her discriminating against black people with non-traditional names.

“We love Raven. She is confident, genuine and opinionated, all qualities that make her a great addition to the panel.”

Thousands signed a petition on Change.org addressed to “View” creator and executive producer Barbara Walters to fire Symone.

As of Sunday, the petition had more than 125,000 signatures.

But ABC is not buckling to the pressure, and the network is standing behind the co-host. Symone is “a great addition” to the show, a network spokesperson told CNN. Full Story Here..

Raven-Symone is NOT HIRING anyone BLACK with a ethnic sounding name

At this point is she just trolling or she actually feels this way? I say its both and its high time we stop getting upset at what she says. She obviously has a white washed world view and no matter how up in arms we get that is not changing.

Based on the severe backlash he has gotten the past few days, I am going out on a limb that he won’t be pulling this stunt anymore. On the surface, let’s hope that this backlash will nip this trend in the bud, Kanye withstanding.

This colossal push to strip men of their masculinity has been popping all over pop culture the last few years and it seems like an hidden agenda has been set in motion. What is that agenda? It’s just ‘fashion’ is the sentiment provided by his childhood friend Marlon Wayans who got into a twitter war with outspoken rapper/actor Lord Jamar who took exception to his style of dress for his interview on The View.

Is this a trend you support?

The ladies of “The View” will get a special visit from Lil Wayne next week.

The Cash Money rapper is scheduled to join co-hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Sherri Shepherd on ABC’s popular talk show on Friday, April 24. He will perform for the first time on the daytime program, which is taped in New York City.

Weezy F. Baby has made several high-profile TV appearances this year, including “The Late Show with David Letterman,” where he presented the Top 10 list, and a sit-down interview with CBS News anchor Katie Couric.

Lil Wayne will release his first rock album Rebirth on June 16.

Rev. Wright Calls “The View” Co-Host a “Dumb Broad”

President-elect Barack Obama made a “bad decision” by distancing himself from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his church, Wright said Sunday – but that’s OK.

“He’s still my child,” Wright said in a sermon in which he expressed pride in Obama’s longtime association with Trinity United Church of Christ.

His talk was spiced with his trademark blend of history lesson, mimicry, singing, and – depending on your point of view – insults, or telling it like it is. One object of contempt seemed to be Elisabeth Hasselbeck of ABC’s “The View,” whom – while not saying her name – Wright twice referred to as a “broad,” including once as “that dumb broad.” Hasselbeck has criticized Wright on “The View.” Continue reading

She’s Back!!! Rosie O’ Donell Gets to host ‘Variety Show’

How much is Rosie smarting that her former co-host Elizabeth Hasslebeck is taking a beating everyday over on The View.

Rosie O’Donnell is returning to television as host of a variety show revival from NBC.

NBC will air “Rosie’s Variety Show” as an hourlong live special the night before Thanksgiving, with an eye toward expansion to a full series order should viewers embrace the project.

The special will feature celebrity guests, musical acts, comedy skits and a prize giveaway for the show’s in-studio and home audiences. David Friedman (“Last Call With Carson Daly”) has been tapped to executive produce along with O’Donnell.

The show’s Nov. 26 premiere date manages to trump Fox’s upcoming Osbourne family variety show, which is expected to debut in the winter or spring.

For NBC, the project’s live aspect is of particular interest, both as a way of distinguishing the product from competitors and to discourage viewers from time-shifting the show. NBC has aired “America’s Got Talent” results shows live this year and plans a quartet of “Saturday Night Live” primetime specials.

“This will reinvent the idea of what a variety show is for 2008,” NBC vp alternative Craig Plestis said. “There’s very few performers willing to put themselves out there live. It makes it more TiVo-proof, and it’s something none of the cable networks can do.”

[video] Argument About “N” Word Makes Host Break Down on The View

[redlasso id=”c786f936-2ff9-412a-bc4a-3794137b0f7b”]

There they go with that damn word again. The “N” word has found itself in the middle of another debacle, this time played out on national television between Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselback who broke down in tears when trying to explain why she feels the word needs to put out of it’s misery.

The View co-host found themselves grappling to find a common ground, with Whoopi informing Elisabeth that they are from two separate worlds, so there are ‘things’ and customs that may be foreign to her limited understanding. Elisabeth, having a kumbaya moment, asked what needs to be done to bridge those worlds so a more concrete understanding could be forged.

Then she got super emo and broke down and shed some crocodile tears. At this point, Barbara shut sh*t down but I’m sure they’re rehearsing part two right now for tomorrow’s show. Damn, that Nasir…talk about perfect timing.
