Mos Def’s ex-wife, Alana Wyatt, is set to release a tell all book detailing her short relationship with the rapper/actor.

Wyatt was married to the Brooklyn-bred emcee (born Dante Smith) in a ceremony last year. Her book entitled, Breaking the Code of Silence, will detail her short lived marriage to Mos as well as her own life.

Described as part biography, part cautionary tale, Wyatt writes of her rough upbringing in the book, aiming to educate and inspire other women and to promote independence.

Wyatt is a 29 year-old mother who currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. Besides being an author she has also appeared Snoop Dogg’s video for “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”

Canada Adding 11,000 Cameras to Its Security System

Talk about insecurity.  The government of Canada has just approved the implementation of 11,000 cameras in its buses, street cars, trains and train stations to comply with “privacy standards.”  Although crtitics are saying there is no precedent for such a blanket security system the government is marching forth in its efforts to have the system up and running by 2011There are already cameras in every station and on 300 buses but the addition of the 11,000 eyes should leave no corner, crook or cranny unobserved.  Civil liberty groups have expressed concern about privacy and the government has conducted a study that said the amount suggested (11,000) complies with “privacy standards.”  For the rest of this story
