Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been released from an Augusta, GA., hospital after suffering severe burns in a plane crash more than a week ago.
According to spokeswoman Beth Frits, Barker was released on Monday morning (September 29).
Shanna Moakler, the ex-wife of Travis Barker and the mother of their 4-year-old son, has been by his side for the last week, according to reports.
Barker and DJ AM were the only survivors of a learjet crash just before midnight September 19 at the main airport in Columbia, S.C. The plane crash killed four others and left DJ AM and Travis Barker with second and third degree burns.
Barker was released three days after his friend and celebrity DJ, DJ AM, left the hospital to return to Los Angeles by plane.
Both will fully recover but doctors estimate that recovery to be lengthy.
In related news, DJ AM has made his first public appearance to pay tribute to one of the duo’s deceased friends, only nine days after the crash. He attended a memorial service for Chris “Lil Chris” Baker, who served as an assistant to Barker for several years and was a close friend to both musicians.
