[video] DMX looks for HELP on DR. Phil

This guy went from multi-platinum rap superstar to being a ratings juggernaunt reality show train wreck. My have the mighty have fallen. Check him out on his second Harpo produced (Oprah’s television production company) talk show appearance after the debacle that was Iyanla’s Fix My Life first try at helping DMX. I guess he will be on Dr. Oz next.

[video] DMX Plays B-Ball with Disabled Veterans

I am liking the route that DMX is taking with him re-shaping his image and career after having multiple arrests and serving time short stints in jail over the last few years. The stuff he is doing seems to be from the heart and not for photo-ops. Kinda the opposite of T.I’s recent media blitz where he seems to be campaigning for the public’s good graces instead of showing that he has changed. Time for Tip to take a page out of what DMX is doing and stop running on these talk shows and just show he has leaned lessons.

DMX is continuing to clean up his image (just not literally this time) as a concert in Texas turned into a visit to injured soldiers.

Rapper DMX placed in Mental Ward Unit

Man I was really pulling for DMX, it’s sad that he cannot escape his demons of drug use. He was at the top of the rap world, and was making major strides in Hollywood. Right now he just needs to concentrate on getting better and forget entertainment until he has fully conquered his drug use.

PHOENIX – He was sentenced to a year in jail for violating his probation, and now rapper DMX is staying in a mental health unit.

The ‘Dog’ DMX Barks @ VIBE…confirms new project is on the way

dmx-news

via VIBE

It’s the No. 10 seed no one saw coming. Nearly three years since his last album, Year of the Dog… Again (Ruff Ryders/Def Jam, 2006), and just one month since being released from an Arizona jail stemming from a series of arrests for drug possession, animal cruelty, and identity theft, DMX is still going strong in VIBE Presents The Best Rapper Ever, going up against Bracket 1’s No. 3 seed, Snoop Dogg, in Round 4’s battle of the Dogs.

To date, the man born Earl Simmons has already knocked off The Game, 50 Cent, and LL Cool J, not a bad run for a troubled superstar who’s spent much of the past five years making more headlines for his brushes with the law than his signature multiplatinum growl on the mic. But with news of a new album on the way (at Hot 97’s Summer Jam this past weekend in New York, producer and longtime collaborator Swizz Beatz promised the Dog’s return in 2010), and the threat of more jail time avoided for now (earlier this month he was given 18 months of supervised probation plus fines for assaulting a Phoenix corrections officer), the unpredictable rapper tells VIBE in this exclusive interview that he’s ready to re-enter the game.

VIBE: It’s been nearly three years since you released your last studio album. During that time you have been involved with a series of legal problems and did jail time. What ran through your mind when you heard that you made it to the sweet 16 bracket of VIBE’s Best Rapper Ever tournament with other hip hop giants like Nas, Rakim, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Andre 3000 and 2pac?

DMX: It’s a blessing, man. It lets me know that [all of my work] paid off.

It seems the fans haven’t forgot about you in terms of DMX being an influential rapper. Continue reading

jadakiss-the-last-kiss-final-small

I will never understand the logic of the music industry. While they are struggling with downloads and scrambling to clog up songs from leaking they continue to offer albums for free stream, I guess with the belief that every project with mimic Lil Wayne’s last effort. They are crazy. Well here goes Jadakiss’ project…for free…almost feels like a mixtape don’t it!  I’m diggin’ the accessibility of this though, they should send us everyone’s album in the mail so we can embed it all over the net.  Resistance is FUTILE!

DMX’s Arizona home is reportedly under foreclosure and has been put up for sale by a local bank.

The realtor selling DMX’s home, Andrew Wheeler, revealed to AZFamily today (January 2) that the home was left unprotected and in shambles after it was raided for the second time by authorities in May 2008.

Wheeler divulged that the house’s doors and windows were blown during the raid and it made it easy for thieves to enter the house.

Wheeler claims various items were stolen including DMX’s quads.

“I think people showed up, walked into the house and took what they wanted,” Wheeler said.

The Arizona home appeared in DMX’s reality show which aired on BET in 2006. The Yonkers bred rapper paid $600,000 for the house in 2003 and the bank has put it up for sale for 429,000.

DMX is currently in an Arizona jail awaiting sentencing on charges of animal cruelty, identity theft and drug possession. The rapper plead guilty to the charges last week and is expected to serve at least 90 days behind bars.

Tax Man Wants Swizzy to Pay Up

Source : The Life Files

It seems that stories like this are definitely the norm with news of tax problems with multi-millionaire Joe Francis(Girls Gone Wild) and Wesley Snipes having used the same attorneys to deal with there tax evasion cases.

Why is it that celebs have such trouble paying taxes? They also have the worst record with picking reputable and honest accountants or are all of them corrupt anyway.

Well mega producer Swizz Beatz has been added to the list and owes a bunch of money to the wrong people.

via TMZ

The IRS records show there’s a tax lien of $842,644.52 against Swizz (real name Kasseem Dean) and his estranged wife, Mashonda. By comparison, former NFL legend Bernie Kosar owes $228K, and Mini-Me has a $300K lien.

We put in a call to Violator Management, but haven’t heard back yet.

DMX Pleads Not Guilty To Drug and Animal Charges

Tom Tingle/ AP Photo

DMX has plead not guilty to recent drug and animal cruelty charges he was charged with last week. X is definetly walking on a thin line and better watch his activities before he finds himself doing some hard time. MTV has the scoop on his court apperance.

DMX has a well-established reputation for showing up late, or not at all, for shows and interviews. But on Thursday, the gravelly voiced rapper was tardy to the one place you never want to be: court. Dressed in a baggy white T-shirt and “dingy” jeans, DMX (born Earl Simmons), walked into the Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix an hour late for an arraignment on four felony drug charges and seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges, according to the Arizona Republic.

He entered a plea of not guilty on all 11 charges, which stem from an early-morning May 9 raid on his Arizona home by Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies. The raid came seven months after the sheriff’s office launched an investigation into allegations that the rapper was neglecting 12 pit bulls on the property, some of whom were reportedly dehydrated and apparently underfed. The bodies of three dogs were found buried in the backyard. He is charged with two counts of marijuana possession and two for drug paraphernalia based on evidence the police reportedly found in the rapper’s home.

The Republic reported that DMX had no comment for the press, but when asked how he was dealing with the allegations, the rapper — who has said he’s working on both a secular and gospel album — replied, “Prayer.” He described his present situation as “not very pleasant.”

 sheek-louch.png

Now the homey Sheek gets love on this site, he has always given us interviews when we needed it. Now my beef is that he really needs to hit us with some of that raw dope he is known for. With an album named Silverback Gorilla ,I am expecting some hard shit the females wont like. I know he got some of that on the album but wish he would have dropped it first. Anyway hope he does his numbers  and then gets back with Jada, Styles, and drop the Lox album we been waiting for 10 years.
