[video] Mob of Philly cops assault man holding baby for not paying his $2.25 fare

Police brutality and abuse of power against black people is one of our foremost problems in this country and around the world. Will it take all out anarchy for this madness to stop? Not even an infant child could make these pigs handle this situation any different.

So, this is the bullshit my son witnessed yesterday coming home from work. Dude’s crime? Not paying the $2.25 fare. Look at how small and scared his daughter is, and how he is treated by Septa & Philadelphia police, over $2.25!!! I thought Septa had a policy of allowing fareless riders the courtesy? I wish they would put hands on me while holding my kids!!! This police ‘entitlement’ mentality, which often leads to brutality, has got to stop!

LAPD handcuff man after shooting him in the head

https://twitter.com/realfatdaddy/status/612094066755395585

The disregard for human life is a running theme for police officers in this country.

According to Lt. John Jenal, the officers stopped to investigate an incident after the shooting victim was flagging for help using an arm wrapped in a towel. When they arrived on the scene, they believed the man had a weapon, which they asked him to drop. Shortly afterwards, they fired at him four times, apparently striking him once in the head.

To make matters worse, the officers immediately rolled him over, and handcuffed him, all of which was caught on camera by an onlooker who appeared to be stationed across the street.

An investigation is reportedly underway. via The Source

BREAKING: Multiple People Dead After Mass Shooting at Black Church in Charleston, SC

Charleston_1

Is this 1963 or 2015? My thoughts and condolences go out to the victims and all those affected by this tragedy. More to come as the story develops.

UPDATE: Multiple sources are reporting there were nine fatalities.

(CNN)Several people were killed in a shooting at an historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, a source close to the investigation told CNN.

The shooter is still at large.

The shooting took place Wednesday evening at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the oldest AME church in the South.

Police haven’t said how many people have been shot. But the source who spoke to CNN said several bodies were in the church that were yet to be identified.

“It’s really bad. It’s a very bad scene,” local pastor Thomas Dixon said.

“Apparently the person just entered the church and opened fire. That part has not been fully articulated on what happened yet … they are still looking for the suspect.”

Police said the suspect in the shooting is a clean-shaven white man in his 20s, with a slender build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots.

After 40 Years in Solitary Confinement, Former Black Panther Could Be a Free Man

1471296_10151720157191363_2095543019_n

When this story was first brought to my attention, all I could think of was how incredible it was that a man could spend four decades in isolation unbroken while maintaining his innocence. He endured arguably the worst punishment that can possibly be inflicted on an inmate by the prison system and will ultimately come out on top. Salute to you, Albert Woodfox. Your story is/will be an inspiration to many. Never let them break you.

Albert Woodfox, the last of three high-profile Louisiana prisoners known as the Angola Three, could walk free within days after a federal judge ordered state officials to release him immediately.

U.S. District Judge James Brady, the judge overseeing the closely watched human rights case, said Monday that the 68-year-old former Black Panther Party prison leader should be granted immediate freedom and not be tried again in the death of a prison guard stabbed to death during prison upheavals in 1972.

Brady, who presided over the case from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, ordered Woodfox’s unconditional release in a strongly worded ruling.

“The only just remedy is an unconditional writ of habeas corpus barring retrial of Mr. Albert Woodfox and releasing Mr. Woodfox from custody immediately,” Brady wrote.

[artwork + tracklist] Summertime ’06 – Vince Staples

https://instagram.com/p/3qAUFMkF7L/?taken-by=vincestaples

With hip-hop constantly being scrutinized for its lack of artists with substance and oversaturation of artists who glorify the street life, Vince Staples could not have came on the scene at a better time. Unlike many artists over the years, Vince is not trying to sell an image or exploit the lifestyle that exists in urban communities across the country–he shares his personal story, giving fans a raw perspective of what that life is like from someone who has really lived it.

In his interviews, Vince is very unapologetic and outspoken–never shying away from expressing his views concerning social issues, his personal life and the state of hip-hop, among other things. His voice, on and off the mic, reflects many of the same thoughts shared by the unheard, overlooked and largely misunderstood youth of today. He has so far managed to generate widespread support and critical acclaim without having to compromise his artistic integrity, all while signed to a major label. It’s not too often that somone with his background gets this type of opportunity.

Given Vince’s already impressive catalogue, I have no doubt Summertime ’06 will meet, if not surpass expectations. Check out the tracklist after the jump.

Cop Goes PSYCHO Pulls Out Gun at Teen Pool Party

F*cking animals and I am not talking about those teens. The Paul Blart move in the beginning? Police out here pulling guns on teens who had a pool party? This world is fucked big time. Props to that kid who stood up to that officer and put his life on the line for that young lady who was being brutalized.

A McKinney, Texas police officer was put on “administrative leave” after a video posted online showed him wrestling a teen girl to the ground and pulling his gun on another teen during a pool party. The unnamed officer is seen shouting obscenities, pulling the 15-year-old Dajerria Becton’s hair as he wrestles her to the ground. Becton said she hopes the officer will be punished. “He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids. I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad.” Officers were responding to the call of a private security guard and residents who complained that several teenagers did not have permission to use the residential community pool and had refused to leave. via Daily Beast

Snoop reposts meme calling Bruce Jenner a ‘Science Project’

Snoop Dogg joined the ranks of public figures who’ve shared less-than-sensitive reactions to Caitlyn Jenner’s transition on social media, sharing a meme Wednesday (June 3) that compares the coverage of Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover with the coverage of Akon‘s charitable initiatives.

The image has a picture of Akon with the caption “Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 60 million africans with solar power. Im really upset that this isn’t major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society.” Snoop added: “News flash @Akon. Tune into ggn [his weekly online talk show] for some real news.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith also shared the meme but has since deleted it.

Is the ‘NRA’ supporting the ‘Huey P. Newton Gun Club’?

NRA are mighty quiet when it comes to black people obtaining and carrying guns legally.

“A Texas gun club named after one of the founders of the Black Panthers Party marched in Dallas on Wednesday to protest against police brutality, KTXA-TV reported.

Around two dozen members of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club carried rifles and red, black and green flags as they marched through the city’s south side, sometimes chanting in support of Michael Brown, the 18-year-old man killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, on Aug. 9.

“If they don’t get these killer cops and corrupt cops under control,” a member identifying himself as Commander Drew X was quoted as saying. “What happened in Ferguson is going to be nationwide.”

[video] PUNKS AND POETS- ALLEN IVERSON

Simply put, Allen Iverson is the uncommon thread. Over the course of a 14 year NBA career, Iverson averaged a staggering 26.7 points, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game. The long-time Philadelphia 76er was voted onto 11 All-Star teams, was named NBA MVP in 2001 and is a surefire hall of famer. As impactful as his game was on the court, though, the 6-0 dynamo made an even bigger cultural dent off of it. The native of Virginia brought cornrows, tats and headbands to the NBA. He brought style, attitude and hip-hop to the league. More than that, he brought them to pop culture. In short, Iverson made it OK to be yourself, to be uncompromising, to be real. He made it OK to be uncommon.

[video] Maryland Woman DIES after ILLEGAL Butt Shots in QUEENS

So while the world celebrates Caitlynn Jenner’s transgender surgery, we are totally ignoring women risking their lives to enhance their butts with illegal procedures.

This world is filled with self hate some are celebrated for it and others are ignored for it. Sadly this young lady Kelly Mayhew fell victim to societal pressures that says if you don’t have a fake big butt a la Kim Kardashian or Nicki Minaj that you are worthless. What makes her any different than Caitlynn? Wasn’t she on the same quest to be her ‘true self’?

via Daily News

A Maryland woman who adored bootylicious Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj died after receiving butt injections in a Queens basement by a quack doctor who fled the scene, police said Tuesday.

Kelly Mayhew, 34, succumbed to the botched procedure after driving with her mother to Far Rockaway from Maryland on Saturday.

Mass Distraction: Bruce Jenner says call me ‘Caitlyn Jenner’ on Vanity Fair Cover

Screen Shot 2015-06-01 at 2.31.09 PM

The mass distraction tactics are in full effect courtesy of the Kardashian Klan. First Kim K. announces she is pregnant with baby number two, and now we have Bruce announcing him self as ‘Caitlyn Jenner’. With all this adulation for his transformation there is no mention in any interviews of him being sued for killing someone in a tragic car accident in February. The matrix is alive and well and working to perfection.

via Vanity Fair

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Speaking publicly for the first time since completing gender transition, Caitlyn Jenner compares her emotional two-day photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz for the July cover of Vanity Fair to winning the gold medal for the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics. She tells Pulitzer Prize–winning V.F. contributing editor and author of Friday Night Lights Buzz Bissinger, “That was a good day, but the last couple of days were better. . . . This shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and everybody giving you ‘that a boy, Bruce,’ pat on the back, O.K. This is about your life.”
